If Quran is flawless in Islam, how come there are opposing sects within muslims?

Muslims say that Quran is perfect.
Then, the immaculate Quran should produce a perfect religion.
Then how come people reading the same book are killing each other in the name of "Allah" in Iraq?

Because at the same time there are opposing sides in Christianity- in every religion of the world there are opposing sides.

i am a Muslim n yes the Qumran is perfect, but it is the people who dint follow it properly, because of lack of faith n belief n self confidence. Pol think that Islam is a tough religion because it has so many boundaries, but once u get there u never want to get out!!!

Why have catholics and protestants been killing each other for hundreds of years when they both believe in "Thou shalt not kill"?
first, if there is any possible disagreement or discrepancy, people are going to find it, and they are going to fight over it. Most Christians believe the Bible is the perfect book, the perfect Word of God (which I believe is a perfect load), and yet there are hundreds of different sects and churches within Christianity.
Because the Quran, like the bible, is a written work, it does not change. But people do, and so does language, so a passage that meant one thing a thousand years ago could mean something completely different to the people of today.

The main sectarian division in Islam which is between Shi'ites and Sunnis has its origins in the conflict concerning who would lead the faith after Muhammad's death. After his death, his closest lieutenants took over, and the Sunnis agree that this is how it should have happened. However, the Shi'ites believe that his family should have been given more control, and they have a lot more respect for the members of Muhammad's family, especially Ali and Husseyn.

These things all happened after the Quran was written. Therefore, sects were formed as with any other religion.

The Prophet Pb said; The Jew will be divided into 71 sectarian groups but only One(1) will enter heaven . The Christian will be divided into 72 sectarian groups but only One(1) will enter heaven. The Muslims will be divided into 73 sectarian groups but only One(1) will enter heaven.
Its the matter of choice, are you in the One of the only one.

mo hammed wrote the Quran i believe to reduce the violence between the Arab tribes that had been going since time was initially recorded. some of these people hate each other. they especially hate the Jews. the Quran can be taken out of context just like the bible.

Before you go questioning people about stuff you have to know the facts first...
First of all the holy Quran is ONE,perfect,complete,book which is Allah's{god's} words.

Second of all people have a diff rent view on things because everybody doesn't think the same, just like you-you disrespect and judge other people's religion{ I don't }.we humans are not perfect but the holy Quran and Islam is perfect and there are those who chose not to follow certain rules in Islam, some enforce the rules way too much when they are not required.

About the people who are blowing themselves up- some of them are the followers of Saddam that want to destroy the new government and get Saddam back; some of them are coming from neighboring countries like Saudi Arabia and 80% of the Saudi's are Wahhabi's (unfortunately they call themselves Muslims) who are killing the American soldiers and anyone who works with them...

A little wake up call for you; did you know there are lots of Christians who converted to Islam even after 9/11!
I once met a Christan woman(now a Muslim) who her father is the head of the church she says that she always took the Christians side- talking bad about Muslims just like you-
she used to fight with Muslims and tell them the Christan's religion is best but one day she started reading the holy Quran and she studied the Quran for 1 year she tried to find something that will prove that the holy Quran is wrong and fake -after finding that the Quran is one complete book and the Islam religion is the final and best religion she converted to Islam....
Now after telling her family (who are Christians) that she converted to Islam her family harmed her physically and threw her out of their house....

So do you see? The Quran is perfect people are not.....

it;s not a religious war per SE. It's a political war. Same as Christians and Muslims don't kill each other because of religion, but for other reasons, mostly political.
