We never make Muhammed(PBUH) equal to Allah/god becks no one equal to Allah/God even Jesus himself.

we Muslims have farz and sunnah, nafil, wajib rakahs in our prayers. the FARZ or compulsory was an strict order from Allah. the sunnahs was something muhammed-pbuh did to thank his Lord for what he got everyday, for even the smallest thing it could be.
