R&S:- why wine is allow in Christianity and disallow in Quran , Hinduism, budhism?

1 day a Doctor entered in a village, He saw most of the people of village are habitual of wine & losing all their money and health,
He decided to make them understand by a test;-\
He gathered all the drinker of the village,
He took a glass in which half he filled with water and then he poured some very small snakes kind of species,
species started to swim in the water after a little while he took wine bottle and pot some wine in that, after 2 Min's everybody saw that those small kind of species got into pieces and died,
now doctor stood up & asked everybody
did you saw what i was trying to make u understand ?
1 man drinker raised arm
Dr. asked yes tell everybody what u understand with this
he replied:-
"( i got understand that wine kills all germs of lever )"
Pl suggest me whichever way u can all invited
what Ur scripture and knowledge says
wine can be referred as alcohol

Wine is not the problem. The spirit of excess is the problem.
This goes with any group.

Wine is allowed in my religion too, but not drunkenness

I agree with the answer about "excess."

I would take it farther. Even religion should be taken in moderation. Extremism in religion is how religious people start shooting wars.

Alcohol is not forbidden in Buddhism. Buddhists are taught to avoid intoxicants that can lead to loss of mindfulness, a teaching which they are perfectly free to ignore from time to time if they want to.

The purpose of the teaching is to facilitate the practice of mindfulness, not to forbid any substance or demonize alcohol.

Alcohol, taken in moderation, has many, many positive health affects.

Your story makes no sense.

No religion which teaches people the right way of life would ever recommend something which befuddles the mind. SO it is NOT wine but rather getting drunk and losing ones sanity which is actually prohibited.

Many people will say it's OK in moderation, is it ? It is OK to steal in moderation, have illicit sex in moderation ?
The Bible says that the drunkard shall not inherit the kingdom of God. If Jesus helped a bunch of drunk people get more drunk, then He would have been helping send people to hell by His miracle. If Jesus was doing things to help send people to hell, then He was clearly sinning. If Jesus sinned, then He could not be the Savior of the world.
Drinking, even social drinking cannot be legitimately supported by the Bible. Every drink that is available today, even beer, falls into the category of unmixed or strong drink. Clearly, Christians should not drink alcoholic beverages. Drinking socially is a worldly activity and in light of the fact that believers are not to be conformed to the world (Romans 12:2) nor love the world I John 2:15 our choice should be clear. We are to be separate from the worldly system 2 Corinthians 6:17 and a light to the world Ephesians 5:8, Philippians 2:15.
Perhaps social drinking has enhanced the acceptability of Christians in society, but it has not advanced the cause of Christ, and it does not glorify God, Social drinking is simply a means which the devil uses to blunt our testimony for Christ and squeeze us into his mold.
The evil effects of alcohol are clearly mentioned in Scripture. Like a snake, it is deceptive in its promises and cruel in its treatment. Slowly, it beclouds the mind, dulling the perception and making one incapable of wise judgment, and harms our body. The use of anything that destroys our ability to make good judgments is an unholy practice! God is not in favor of anything that clouds our minds and ruins our judgment. Proverbs 31:5 ?Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.?

The consumption of alcohol impairs judgment, inflames passions, and invites violence. Alcohol should be treated as a drug but is not. Alcohol is a drug that was never intended to flow through our blood. Why would any Christian want alcohol flowing through their veins when God has called our bodies the "temple of God"?
The stronghold of alcohol is very powerful for which no man or woman is immune to and some people cannot handle any amount of alcohol, and it always starts with one social drink.Some make other arguments that they drink wine for their health, which is not supported by science. The health benefit comes from the grape, not the alcohol. All one must do to get this benefit is drink grape juice.

Do you know limited usage of wine is good for health. Although excessive alcohol consumption has adverse health effects, epidemiological studies have consistently demonstrated that moderate consumption of alcohol and wine is statistically associated with a decrease in death due to cardiovascular events such as heart failure and also It stimulates digestive system.

Always excess is dangerous. We need to be in the limits.

Well you are aware of the news which appear in all the news papers every day that a certain crime was committed and the culprit was under the influence of liquor. Every now and then the culprit is found having taken alcohol.

What I meant to say is that liquor even in a small quantity leads to a habit which is hard to get rid of. And every culprit who conspire to commit a crime will always have liquor first. They say that it gives them confidence & courage to commit crime but I think it is the power of liquor which makes them think & act illegally & unlawfully.


That is why, my friend Islam has prohibited not only liquor but any thing which may lead to intoxication thus leading to a situation where it becomes impossible to take proper & judicious decision for a person and act normally.

I think Christian religion was found mostly in cold countries so may be to keep body warm they used to take wine .
