A question about Islam in moorish spain....?

Still on the subject of Islamic integration in the UK, our friend Lot lot said

"Muslims invented integration, see Moorish (Muslim Spain) you can read books without pictures??"

I have two questions regarding this:

1 - Did the Spanish themselves not regard this as an invasion which they resisted for several centuries before expelling the Moors?

2 - What relevance does this have to do with the fact - fact! - that almost every British town has at least one area where the population is mostly Muslim?

yes the Spanish did regard it as a foreign invasion, but they did not have the forces to retaliate until much later on,
as for integration i think actually it works against the argument of integration because they IslamssEdee areas under Muslim rule and put slowly pressure on people to convert though taxes or societal pressure, people of different religions did get along but there are just as many counter examples as well so that Muslims invented integration is BS with a capital B

Funny how when quoting Spain as an example they always forget the Almohad dynasty who wiped out every Christian and Jew in North Africa and tried doing the same in Spain.
