Why is Islam the fastest growing religion?

People say Muslims beat women which I know is a stereotype but then again most of the converts to Islam are women. Why is it that most converts to Islam are Catholics? And why is it that most converts to Islam convert fully knowing their former religion and knowing the punishment for apostasy is death? This is not a rant. Just a neutral question(s).

Islam isn't growing rapidly due to conversions. It is growing rapidly because Third World Muslims don't have the Internet, TV and video games so they have to, ahem, make their own entertainment.

Because my friend, people make Islam look bad but Islam is not bad! You can't understand unless you want to understand! Don't just look at one side of the story. Islam, believe it or not gives women more respect and freedom! Covering does not oppress even the bible tells the woman to cover up BTW! And the reason people are reverting is because it makes sense. If you read you will understand. The key here is not to find the answer on yahoo. It's to look for it somewhere else like a reliable website about Islam and not about the so called negative things about Islam. I'm a woman and i reverted into this religion and illimitable! I LOVE ITT!! .
Islam brings you a peace of mind. Many people speak out of ignorance. Please don't be one of the ignorant. Go ask Muslims about Islam! Ask them why they allow such an "evil religion". Go ask them.

The only reason for growth in the Islamic religion when compared to other religions is birthrate. Conversions from one religion to another are extremely hard to track and are essentially not quantifiable.

Given that it is clear that Islam encourages lashing women for wearing pants and executing rape victims as adulterers, one could suppose that the women that convert feel a need to be punished. On the other hand, it is well known that women (or men) that leave Islam are tracked down and executed so this skews any analysis that can be done.

1. Islam is not the fastest growing religion. its growth is due mainly to the inclusion of births as adherents.

2. many stereotypes are true.

3. perhaps some of the female converts were beaten or threatened.

4. converts are more easily drawn from the ranks of those who compromise.

At least Islam is growing, but still has law;
So it can't grow unto the foulness of Christ,

Give them credit for zeal, as God did Saul,
and then change the zeal from law to grace,

It is not the fastest growing religion in the world. This is a myth. The reason why it is growing quickly, however, is because of extremely high birth rates. Muslims are leaving and converting away from Islam just as quickly or quicker as other people from other faiths are joining. There are parts of the world where Christianity is still the fastest growing religion. Sikhism is also growing quickly. Besides, just because something is growing fast does not mean it is the truth. Our Lord Jesus Christ said when He returns "would He find any faith?".

Because it makes more sense to people. In Islam your in charge of your life, not some Church and it's Pope, not some institution and not some tradition.

Most women in shelters and victims of domestic abuse are Christians and most are down to alcohol (Muslims don't drink). Most marriages occurring these days are Muslim marriages so the women are choosing to convert to the faith as a matter of course. Most other faiths are choosing to live together without marriage.

The punishment for leaving Islam amicably is not death in fact there have been no reported deaths of people leaving Islam and there are 40 million Coptic Arab Christians across the Middle East. There are also some who follow both faiths.

End of the day if it makes people happy then why argue?
