Uh... They both have a long list of gods that they both agree don't exist.

The only difference is that atheists also have Allah on their list.

Atheism has no doctrine or beliefs concerning the existence of a deity. Islam does.

Atheism is one single thing. The disbelief in there being any god. There is NOTHING else to do with atheism.

Now, does that sound like Muslims to you? Do Muslims believe there to be no god?
Answer: No.

So there you go. Now stop smoking because it makes you stupid.

1000 lines for you (here, I'll get you started...) :
Atheism is NOT a religion
Atheism is NOT a religion
Atheism is NOT a religion...

Atheists share exactly one belief. That is, we don't believe that belief in a god is justified.

That is the polar opposite of Islam. Muslims believe in a specific god, Allah. Therefore, by definition, atheism and Islam are nothing alike.

Atheists as individuals, however, will share many beliefs with individual Muslims. Most people believe in peace, that killing is wrong, hurting is wrong, adultery is wrong, and many other things. These have nothing to do with atheism though.

The only thing you need to do to be an atheist is realize there is no god. No doctrine, belief, liturgy or ritual.

So there are no similarities, only differences. It is an empty set. There is no intersection of the two.

Yes, atheists don't have any superstitious beliefs or doctrines, as a general rule.

Very different I think. Possible Islam is a religion of the "sight", IE the idea of faith in the sense of working miracles through it and suchlike is not developed much. In that particular it is closer to Athiesm than Christianity. But not very much. Whether you are Muslim, atheist or other, I hope you think through your beliefs and check them against reality.

Um, no...there are no beliefs or doctrines in atheism, so it's not possible for there to be any similarities with Islam in those areas.

Peace.
