Default how is it possible to read the quran?

i read the first two chapters, but it was such a struggle. it is honestly the most repetitive and boring book I have ever come across. I would like to know what is in it, but I have no desire to read endless repetitions of nonsense.

is there a summary version or something?

It can be a bit of a struggle but i solved that by reading an interpretation (not the Arabic) in fairly random order as the issues came up.

All brainwashing schemes depend on repetition of the brainwashing material to be effective.

Lol I know how you feel. As a Christian, I picked up the Quran just for the violence that everybody was talking about but the so-called violence was only in a few verses. It mostly talked about how great Allah is.

Mostly it's persevering. I'm on the fifth chapter so far, and the repetition is very irritating. Fortunately, new concepts are introduced fairly frequently. Have you considered skimming it and reading those parts that catch your eye?

It's all about mindset.

If you read it expecting to find "nonsense" then you will find nonsense.

If you are a Christian, what does the Bible say about nonsense (aka: foolishness):

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are saved it is the power of God.

As I come from a non-Arabic-speaking family, and country, up until about five months ago, I have been reading the Arabic version of the Holy Quran. Then it hit me that what I had been doing all this while is ridiculous, and thus decided to read the translation instead. As I read and read, not only did I find it tedious and abundant with redundant ideas, its mentioning of Allah's command for His subject to submit to Him and fear His punishments are hauntingly superfluous, and pretty much mostly what the Book is about. So I, after a few pages of reading, results to reading only the summary. Still, is it impressive? I wish.
