The earth is actually slowing down its movement around itself and it will come to a halt, then it will start turning the other side, so the sun rises from the west. i think if you go ogle it you're gonna find some articles.
It's not common. I've never even heard of that before. I've studied the Qur'an, read it time and time again and never saw a single verse that even suggests this. So I don't know what you're basing this idea on.
I believed in the verse of Quran..'And he is the one who created the night, daylight, sun and the moon, all swimming in an orbit.' (Quran, The Prophets: 33).

Even though Quran and hadiths are not book of science . it is book of guidance and signs to know your God.
We Muslim believe that there is an end for these world and there is some small sign that happening now that prophet Mohamed tells use and the big sing come when it Come close to that day so we dint know when but we know that when the rise from the that mean it the end of the world and then we will go to heaven or hell
One day the sun will rise from the west - it is one of the signs of the end of the world.
