Default Do you have difficulty in understanding the Quran?

Do you use Tafsir for portions you do not understand?
@Muhammad Ishfaq: MashaAllah, I can tell by your (sincere) comment that you indeed read the Quran regularly.
@Zero: Allah says that He has made the Quran easy to remember and follow. That does not mean that each individual will understand every bit of the Quran. There are absolutely no contradictions in the Quran, Point out ONE for me and I will show you that whatever you identify will be due to some misconception or misunderstanding on YOUR part.
@Tom: The Quran states that it is a guidance for the righteous, therefore as it is written with spiritualism in mind, one who is not inclined to spiritualism and guidance from God would come up with a list such as yours. Every one of the so called contradictions raise by your little "pamphlet" is based on the Bible which has over 100 versions, and on incorrect translations of the Quranic texts. I was a Christian for 25 years so I know of the sort of contradictions you claim which were founded by lying Christians and I am aware of them first hand.
@Be Good: Your understanding of the Quran is based on many factors one of which is "intention" . If you want to learn the Quran through diligent self study, believe me, you can do it. A host of people understand the Quran after taking all the verses, relative to a topic, into consideration when making a decision. The Quran mentions in dozens of places the right way to establish worship and one has to consider not only the individual verse but verses related to the subject matter. Do not forget the Sunna of the Holy Prophet as he demonstrated how most of the Quran should be applied - including the establishment of salat. The modern Alim(a) decides on his/her advise and understanding after studying the Quran and life of Muhammad (pbuh). You can certainly do the same.
@Tom: I have already studied all the information you provided and have debated for hours about the true application of the verses of the Quran. Needless to say, that I have met hundreds like you (determined by your postings in Y/A and your responses) that I find it unnecessary to respond to any of what you post, since in all sincerity I know you are just trolling.
@Be Good: You should post the question so that others can also have an opportunity to share their point of view. Salat must be established because it is the main reason why Allah created humans - to worship Him, therefore one has to guard his/her time and activities to accommodate to his worship. He has to do it on time and with focus (not haphazardly). He should establish worship in a manner that everyone around him knows and feels that prayer for his is of utmost importance. He must practice his/her salat in such a way that his soul years for the next prayer and the next and the next etc. This is my short response in regards to establishment of worship.
@Devils Advocate: The correct translation for 8:39 is " And fight them until there is no persecution and religion is wholly for Allah. But if they desist, then surely Allah is Watchful of what they do."
The Quran is easy to follow for those who are inclined to wisdom and righteousness. If one lacks these prerequisites then he will never gain any knowledge or understanding from it. I debated Christians about the truth in the Quran and they kept on comparing the Quran with what the Bible stated. The Quran is revealed words of God while the Bible is based on inspiration of individuals. That tells all.

Yes I do, but Holy Quran opens more and more of its wisdom on the reader who reads Quran again and again. every time you get more deeper meaning.
@Zero
It depends how clear your mind is.. Holy Qumran is guidance for rest of the time, many things become clear when humans collectively reach to a certain level of maturity. For a child, clear means different than a grown up.

Asalamo Alaykum

Allah says in the Quran that we have made Quran easy to understand. Right?
In another verse Quran commands: Ask those who are knowledgeable.
Here i give you an example: Quran commands us to establish SALT. There isn't a single verse that commands to pray Or offer SALT but to establish SALT. Majority of the Muslims pray Or offer SALT but very few know how to establish salat in true letter n spirit. Here we need a teacher a shiekh to learn and understand this as to how to establish salat as commanded by the Quran.

Edit @ Asker
Agreed.
What are the deep meanings and wisdom hidden in the commandment of "Aqeem us salat"?
Can you elinghten me for my learning as to how salat is established please?

No one should have any difficulty in understand the Qumran.

Quran: 8:39 " Wage war on non-Muslims and kill them until they submit and the only religion is Islam."

@ask er - you had to debate for hundred of hours about a single verse of Quran, It shows:-
1) The Quran is not clear.
2) When in doubt, get out. No one should bother to understand it. Especially, one should not then toy with the idea of converting/reverting/inverting, etc to Islam.

many verses of the most perfect book needed to be abrogated later. that itself proves that it is not the perfect book

In 99.7% of the verses absolutely no difficulty. that leaves less than 20 verses which are not 100% clear, yet. None of the verses which are central to our faith and conduct pose any difficulty.

Sister, the Quran is indeed easy to follow and understand.
There are a few verses which deal with the future or which has possibility of multiple meanings as the language of Arabic is very extensive. For such verses Tafir is of great help.

There are other verses which may not be readily understood, however as one continues to study the Quran these meaning are "revealed" in time

One needs to also understand that he/she should not look to complicate things as some seek to do. The Quran satisfies a little child as well as a very intelligent Nobel Laureate.
