Default If you leave Islam, what's the consequence?

I heard that it's death :O
What if you turn to an Abrahaimic religion? Or if you still believe in God but you don't stick with a particular religion, you just make up your own?
THIS IS NOT FOR PERSONAL REFERENCE! I WILL NEVER LEAVE ISLAM INSH'ALLAH!

I just wanted to know.

If you leave Islam, you are marked as an apostate, regardless of what new religion you join. The consequence IS death.

Depends where you live. Some countries like Turkey you wouldn't be punished, others you would be. There's the case of an Afghani man named Shoaib Assadullah who converted to Christianity and was facing death, even his parents denounced him and said he should die.

http://www.answering-christianity.com/apostates.htm -- no

It depends upon two things...

If that person leaver's Islam and thus joins an enemy to attack the Muslims by war, then that is treason.

If that person leaver's Islam for matters of faith, in peace with no intention of promoting attacks against Muslims, then Qumran 15:2-3 "Again and again will those who disbelieve, wish that they had bowed (to God's will) in Islam. Leave them alone, to enjoy (the good things of this life) and to please themselves: let (false) hope amuse them: soon will knowledge (undeceive them)."

A??????? ??? ???????? ??? ?????????? ????????? ???? ????????

2:256 translation There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the right path has become distinct from the wrong path. ...

It was reported that;

the Ansar were the reason behind revealing this Ayah, although its indication is general in meaning.

Ibn Jarir recorded that Ibn Abbas said (that before Islam),

"When (an Ansar) woman would not bear children who would live, she would vow that if she gives birth to a child who remains alive, she would raise him as a Jew.

When Banu An-Nadir (the Jewish tribe) were evacuated (from Al-Madinah), some of the children of the Ansar were being raised among them, and the Ansar said, `We will not abandon our children.'

Allah revealed, ??? ????????? ??? ???????? ??? ?????????? ????????? ???? ???????? (There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the right path has become distinct from the wrong path).'' Abu Dawud and An-Nasa'i also recorded this Hadith.

Asalaam Alaikum

Don't let anyone tell you what religion you must choose. Whatever religion you choose to help you communicate with God (assuming you want to be with another religion), is strictly your personal choice, and that of no one else. If someone threatens you and you genuinely believe the threat is legit, then notify the authorities, for you have the right to do so, as you do to choose your own spiritual guide.

Assalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahhi Wabarakatuh.

In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

Al-Mighty God Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala created Jinn and Mankind to Worship HIM.

Once Prophet Muhammad Sallallahhu'alaihi Wassalam came with the Religion of Islam, that's the only religion to all races and nations on this earth, not only to the Arab or any Clim but to all races and to all nations in this world until the end of the world. All religions before Prophet Muhammad Sallallahhu'alaihi Wassalam are abolish.

In the olden days, once you are an apostate, "YES" it's means death.

Not now !., and no more in many Muslims countries in the modern time.

Once you leave Islam you are "an apostate". You are no more a Muslim and you have no right as a Muslim.

Wabillahhitaufiq Walhidayah Wassalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahhi Wabarakatuh.

Death, only if you live in a Muslim country. Because if a Muslim left Islam in a western country, it's illegal to kill a person. But in a Muslim/islamic country, it's legal to kill a Muslim who has left Islam.

Salam The consequence if you leave Islam you will be Fair person regardless what ever religion you enter outside Islam. Based on the Qur'an Sarah 7 Al Araf verse 34 each person has been determined by Allah his/her death. When Ajay (the death) has come we could not delay or make it faster just for one second. Death is the final Allah 's decision. If you leave Islam and become Fair person you will died in Fair situation too so you will enter the hell and be punished there eternally with your close friends Spartans.Allah as stated in the Qur'an Sarah 5 Al Maidah verse 3 only bless es Islamic religion until qiyamah. We could not make up our own religion or we could not just believe in God only. and we could not turn back to Abrahamic religion (tawheed)which has been outdated..

Well, your Scholars say that the person should be killed and Shari'a also says the person should be killed.

http://islamqa.com/en/ref/811/apostasy

Bukhari (52:260) - "...The Prophet said, 'If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.' "

Bukhari (84:57) - "[In the words of] Allah's Apostle, 'Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.'"

Bukhari (89:271) - A man who embraces Islam, then reverts to Judaism is to be killed according to "the verdict of Allah and his apostle."

Bukhari (84:58) - "There was a fettered man beside Abu Muisa. Mu'adh asked, 'Who is this (man)?' Abu Muisa said, 'He was a Jew and became a Muslim and then reverted back to Judaism.' Then Abu Muisa requested Mu'adh to sit down but Mu'adh said, 'I will not sit down till he has been killed. This is the judgment of Allah and His Apostle (for such cases) and repeated it thrice.' Then Abu Musa ordered that the man be killed, and he was killed. Abu Musa added, 'Then we discussed the night prayers'"

Bukhari (84:64-65) - "Allah's Apostle: 'During the last days there will appear some young foolish people who will say the best words but their faith will not go beyond their throats (i.e. they will have no faith) and will go out from (leave) their religion as an arrow goes out of the game. So, wherever you find them, kill them, for whoever kills them shall have reward on the Day of Resurrection.'"

There is no worldly punishment for leaving Islam according to Quran.

As we cannot force anyone to become Muslim ("There is no compulsion in religion." Surah Al-Baqarah [2:256]), likewise, we cannot force a Muslim to remain a Muslim.

"And say: "The truth is from your Lord." Then whosoever wills, let him believe, and whosoever wills, let him disbelieve. Verily, We have prepared for the Zalimun, a Fire whose walls will be surrounding them." - Surah Al-Kahf [18:29]

Allah (Set) also says (in Surah Aal-'Imran [3:86-89]) that apostates can be forgiven if they repent after that:

86. How shall Allah guide a people who disbelieved after their belief and after they bore witness that the Messenger is true and after clear proofs had come unto them? And Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers).

87. They are those whose recompense is that on them (rests) the Curse of Allah, of the angels, and of all mankind.

88. They will abide therein (Hell). Neither will their torment be lightened, nor will it be delayed or postponed (for a while).

89. Except for those who repent after that and do righteous deeds. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Islam is an Abrahaimic religion only there are many thoughts on leaving, some say you must die while others say you will be jailed which points to me that Islam is a man made religion and free will is not allowed by the manic street clerics who also have no respect for the older religions who were cherry picked to create this false one.

believer me this doesn't matter that what are the consequences in this world. One should be more worried about what will happen with him on the day of judgment.

?If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to God), never will it be accepted of him.? (Quran 3:85)

Even Prophet Abraham was a Muslim and he worshiped ALLAH alone.
[003:067] Ibrahim was not a Jew nor a Christian but he was (an) upright (man), a Muslim, and he was not one of the polytheists.

As long as you believe in ONE God, the Day of Judgement, His signs, and his messengers, and do good:

"Verily, those who have attained to faith [in this divine writ], as well as those who follow the Jewish faith, and the Christians, and the Sabeans - all who believe in God and the Last Day and do righteous deeds - shall have their reward with their Sustainer; and no fear need they have, and neither shall they grieve." Qur'an 2:62

Adherent of many religions are at times blinded to such a point that they fail to apply logic or reason to their faith or beliefs. For example, Saint Thomas Aquinas, the most rational of Christian theologians, stopped the use of reason when it came to the basic fundamentals of Christian faith. He then tried to justify faith. So to ask "why Christianity?" is an illegitimate question. However, Allah invites the question as to "why Islam?".?We have certainly made clear to you the signs, if you will use reason.?3:118
Islam is a rational system which not only allows questions but raises knowledge to a new level of dignity and respect. No other religion has exalted knowledge and its pursuit, as has Islam. In fact, for the first time in human history, a religious book invited people to question the creation of the universe and stated that in it (the universe) were signs for people of understanding. ?In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day, there are Signs for people of intelligence.? (Surah Ali-?Imran: 190-191) ?He directs the whole affair. He makes the Signs clear so that hopefully you will be certain about the meeting with your Lord.? (Chapter Ra'd: 2)

Everything in Islam is subject to rational pursuit.
Islam is an intellectual and historical religion. There are no secrets and no mysteries which cannot be understood by an ordinary person.
We should, therefore, refrain from forming particular ideology or opinion prior to witnessing clear evidence-just as Islam advises us.

The Qur'an, this extraordinary book which was revealed to the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Almighty be upon him), is a source of inspiration and true knowledge. ?Allah Himself is witness that there is no God save Him. And the angels and the men of learning too are witness? There is no God save Him, the Almighty, the Wise.?3:18.The book of Islam-no matter what subject it refers to-is being proved as Allah's Word as each new piece of historical, scientific or archaeological information comes to light. Facts about scientific subjects and the news delivered to us about the past and future, facts that no being could have known at the time of the Qur'an's revelation, are announced in its verses. It is impossible for this information to have been known with the level of knowledge and technology available in 7Th century Arabia. With this in mind, Shana?t we allow our common sense to speak on behalf of us awhile?
Could anyone in 7Th century Arabia have known that our atmosphere is made up of seven layers?
Could anyone in 7Th century Arabia have known the precise date of the lunar landings?
Could anyone in 7Th century Arabia have known the exact ratio of the sea to the land?
Could anyone in 7Th century Arabia have known the atomic number every single element?
Could anyone in 7th century Arabia have known the genetic code of all living organisms?
Could anyone in 7th century Arabia have known that the star ?Sirius? is the brightest star in the night sky?
Could anyone in 7th century Arabia have known that the universe is "steadily expanding," as the Qur'an puts it, when modern scientists have only in recent decades put forward the idea of the "Big Bang"?
?And He shows you His signs. So, which of the signs of Allah do you deny?? 40:81
Could anyone in 7th century Arabia have known about the fact that each individual's fingertips are absolutely unique, when we have only discovered this fact recently, using modern technology and modern scientific equipment?
Could anyone in 7th century Arabia have known about black holes, Pulsars, the Rosette Nebula, sub-atomic particles, quantum physics, fossilization and iron content, the layers of Earth, the weight of clouds, the relativity of Time, the Force of Gravity, the Orbital Movements, the sun?s trajectory, the programming in genes, the sun?s hydrogen and helium content, or many other facts scientists of our day are only just beginning to discover?
The only answer to these questions is thus : the Qur'an is the Word of the Almighty Allah, the Originator of everything and the One Who encompasses everything with His knowledge. In one verse, Allah says, "If it had been from other than Allah, they would have found many inconsistencies in it." (Qur'an, 4:82) Every piece of information the Glorious Qur'an contains reveals the secret miracles of this divine book.
