How to perform prayer in Islam?
well I'm quite young and i want to start wearing a hijack soon (inhale) could anyone give me any sort of advice to keep my head up so i keep it on. My mum told me that, "where only in this world for a tiny while, its nothing compared to the after life".
Also, if anyone would be kind enough to tell me how to perform SALT? i know all my main 'Sarah's' but i get confused about how its not the same for all 5 Namath's. could someone clear this up for me? nobody has given me a proper answer
2 minutes ago - 4 days left to answer.
Because you are only young and still learning I suggest you take up only fard rakats for now and then InshaAllah start praying Sunnah, Nafl and Witr. InshaAllah it all goes well for you.
MashaAllah, at least you are trying which is more than i can say for most young girls these days.
to pray, you must perform Urdu'. email me if you need info on this.
first prayer: Farr/subah:
you pray 2 raga's for Farr.(some Pol call them sun nah but they are fa rd
straight after this, you pray another two raga's (reciting lordly)..this is known as sub ah prayer.
second prayer: dhuhr:
you pray 4 raka'as. the first two raka'as you recite surah al fatiha and another surah. (quietly)
and the last two raka'as you recite only surah fatiha. (also quietly)
third prayer: asr:
same as dhuhr prayer
fourth prayer:magrib:
first two raka'as you recite surah fatiha and another surah (loudly)
last raka'a you recite only surah fatiha (quietly)
fifth prayer:Isha:
same as maghrib, but you add another raka'a at the end. (only surah fatiha and also quietly)
Your mom is right. Plus, the ozone layer has been depleted somewhat. I'm not sure about all the statistics on how much is depleted, but I know that it is not regenerating fast enough at the rate that humans keep putting the chemicals into the sky. Anyway, to wear hi jab will be of a benefit to your health in terms of warding off skin cancers/ melanomas especially in the summer season.
Another reason to wear hi jab is because they're fashionable. They sort of look like a hat. They keep your head warm in cool months, and ultimately it is a declaration of our faith.
Ok here it goes. Salaat crash course ninja style, buckle up.
There are 5 prayers in a day.
Fajr, Zhur, Asr, Maghrib, Eisha
Here is a really cool ad don courtesy of some really cool Muslim guy that you can install on your fire fox, but if you're not using firefox. Sorry Idk what else to say.
There is alot to write down when it comes to prayer so here's another link that will help to clear up some of your questions, hopefully. But I strongly recommend that you visit your local masjid, and find out more. Take care. Ma'salaama
Since, the users above have told you about Sal/namaz/salat.
I should tell you a bit of about Hijab. I have found in the Qumran and Hadith that is commanded by Allah(Set) to cover our hair.
Here is one Verse
Surah Noor, Verse 31
And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment save to their own husbands or fathers or husbands' fathers, or their sons or their husbands' sons, or their brothers or their brothers' sons or sisters' sons, or their women, or their slaves, or male attendants who lack vigor, or children who know naught of women's nakedness. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn unto Allah together, O believers, in order that ye may succeed.
If you read the Arabic of the verse above, you will find the word Hamoor which means in English Headcovering or Hijab. (Use a word to word English translation Quran or Arabic dictionary to check.
You should be wearing the Hijab for the sake of Allah(swt). Not to impress someone or show off or wear it for someone else(I'm not saying you are) These are some questions to ask yourself.
After that you should take it into steps. Start looking and buying modest clothing. (if you don't already have any) Take away any tight, see through, or short clothing. ie. skinny jeans, tank tops. Go through your closet.
Next, go to Muslim stores, or online stores, or just some regular clothing departments and find some scarfs/hijab. You can buy different fabrics. Cotton, silk, pashmina,... .whatever is comfortable to you and that one you like best. Make sure the scarfs are large enough that they cover your hair and your chest and some other body parts which I will give you the article which will explain it all.
To keep your hijab in place, you should buy Hijab caps/undercaps/underscarfs/bonnent. They keep your scarf in place. And you should also buy Hijab pins/brooch/saftey pins/hijab clips.
Here are some websites/blogs where you will find modest styles
