Default Ramadan: Deeds that lead to jannah?/Pillars of Islam/Gates of goodness/Restraining th

From Mu'adh bin Jabal, radiallyOHIunhu, who said: I said:

"O Messenger of Allah, tell me of a deed which will take me into Paradise and will keep me away from the Hell-fire." He said: "You have asked me about a great matter, yet it is, indeed, an easy matter for him to whom Allah Almighty makes it easy. (It is ) that you worship Allah without associating anything with Him, that you perform the prayers, that you pay the zakat, that you fast during Ramadan, and that you make the pilgrimage to the House."

Then he said: "Shall I not guide you to the gates of goodness? Fasting is a shield; charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire; and a man's prayer in the middle of the night." Then he recited: "Who forsake their beds to cry unto their Lord in fear and hope, and spend of that We have bestowed on them. No soul knoweth what is kept hid for them of joy, as a reward for what they used to do". [Qu'ran, Surah al-Sajdah (32): Ayah 16-17]

Then he said: "Shall I not also tell you of the peak of the matter, its pillar, and its topmost part?" I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "The peak of the matter is Islam (submission to Allah), the pillar is prayer; and its topmost part is jihad." Then he said: "And shall I not tell you of the controlling of all that ?" I said:" Yes, O Messenger of Allah". So he took hold of his tongue and said: "Restrain this." I said: "O Prophet of Allah, will we be held accountable for what we say?" He said: "May your mother be bereft of you! Is there anything that topples people on their faces (or he said, on their noses) into the Hell-fire other than the jests of their tongues?"

[Related by Al-Tirmidhi, who said it was a fine and sound hadith]

What other actions or deeds lead to Jannah with a surety?

BQ: Who else loves this hadith?

Do many good deeds for others.

I do like this Eadith. I like especially the part that says the peak of the matter is Islam, the pillar is prayer, and the topmost is jihad. So, it is submission to Allah, prayer to Allah, and the personal struggle of personal change to repent and resist temptations. Yes, that is the task.

That's one beautiful Eadith banally,Lah gives much comfort and it eases guilt resulting from disobeying Allah Set at times. That's how merciful our lord is on His righteous servants. Each time I read a similar Eadith, my love for Allah Set increases, it surpasses any other love and that's one amazing feeling and highly overwhelming.

Other Eadith's:

You must adhere to honesty, for honesty leads to righteousness. And verily, righteousness leads to Paradise. A person continues being honest and seeking honesty until he is recorded with Allah as an honest person. [Muslim]

Abu ?Abdullah Jabir bin ?Abdullah al-Ansari, radiyallahu anhuma, reported that a man questioned the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ?alayhi wasallam, saying:
"Do you see, if I pray the prescribed (prayers), fast during Ramadhan, treat the lawful as permissible and treat the forbidden as prohibited, but do nothing more than that, shall I enter Paradise?? He (the Prophet, sallallahu ?alayhi wasallam) answered: ?Yes.? [Muslim]

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Shall I tell you who is kept away from Hell and from whom Hell is kept away? (Hell is kept away) from everyone who is gentle and kindly, approachable and of an easy disposition." [Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 1315]

Add: his hadith may be irrelevant to the question, but it's beautiful

The Prophet said: ?Shall I tell you something that is the best of all deeds, constitutes the best act of piety in the eyes of your Lord, elevates your rank in the hereafter, and carries more virtue than the spending of gold and silver in the service of Allah, or taking part in jihad and slaying or being slain in the path of Allah?? They said: ?Yes!? He said: ?Remembrance of Allah.?
[Related on the authority of Abu al-Darda? by Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, Ibn Abi al-Dunya, al-Hakim who declared it sound, and Dhahabi confirmed him, Bayhaqi, Suyuti in al-Jami` al-saghir, and Ahmad also related it from Mu`adh ibn Jabal.]
He also said: ?Even if one strikes unbelievers and idolaters with his sword until it breaks, and he is completely dyed with their blood, the Rememberers of Allah are above him one degree.?
[Related on the authority of Abu Sa`id al-Khudri by Ahmad (3:75), Tirmidhi (#3376), Baghawi in Sharh al-Sunnah (5:195), Ibn Kathir in his Tafsir (6:416), and others.]

Salam dear brother
