Hajj (pilgrimage): Christianity had huge pilgrimage in the 4Th century. While pilgrimage is not required for them, it is in Islam
3) American culture - yo.... It is difficult being a Muslim in some places in America due to racism, hate-speeches, damasking of Mosques, etc.
4) Yes there are variations. It might be more sect based then culture based. I mean a Muslim in one country may act differently from another Muslim in a different country however I would argue that while it could be culture, it is probably the difference in their sect that causes this difference. Yet again, perhaps this difference in sect is caused by culture
