Some women may believe that our society is too liberal and want more structure around them to build a family. What better way than to incarcerate oneself with an "abusive" one to live what women in Canada have fought for the last 100 years to overcome. Repression, abuse and second-class citizenry.

Fundamentalist Christianity should be the fastest growing religion amongst women, as it is the truth. Islam came 300 yrs after Christianity and is a Hodge Page of that.

I have studied the Bible for 20 years. And I can say with 100% accuracy that Women are not oppressed in Christianity. They have equal value before God. And husbands are called to be servant leaders to their wives. They are to place the needs of their wives and children before themselves. Any christian man who is not doing this is not a fully developed christian.
In the Muslim faith a Muslim man can marry a child as young as 1 year old and have sexual intimacy with this child, consummating the marriage by 9. A dowry is given to the family in exchange for the woman (who becomes his slave) and for the purchase of the private parts of the woman, to use her as his toy. Even though a woman is abused she can not obtain a divorce. To prove rape, the woman must have (4) male witnesses. Often after a woman has been raped, she is returned to her family and the family must return the dowry. The family has the right to execute her (an honor killing) to restore the honor of the family. Husbands can beat their wives 'at will' and he does not have to say why he has beaten her.The husband is permitted to have 4 wives and a temporary wife for an hour (prostitute) at his discretion. Shariah Muslim law controls the private as well as the public life of the woman.
In the West World ( America ) Muslim men are starting to demand Shariah Law so the wife can not obtain a divorce and he can have full and complete control of her. It is amazing and alarming how many of our sisters and daughters attending American Universities are now marrying Muslim men and submitting themselves and their children unsuspectingly to the Shariah law. The goal of radical Islamists is to impose Shariah law on the world, ripping Western law and liberty in two. In the West radical Islamists are working to impose sharia on the world. If that happens, Western civilization will be destroyed. Westerners generally assume all religions encourage a respect for the dignity of each individual. Islamic law (Sharia) teaches that non-Muslims should be subjugated or killed in this world. Peace and prosperity for ones children is not as important as assuring that Islamic law rules everywhere in the Middle East and eventually in the world.

In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President by themselves! Rest assured they will do so... You can look at how they have taken over several towns in the USA .. Dearborn Mich. is one... and there are others...
It is too bad that so many are disillusioned with life and Christianity that they accept Muslims as peaceful.. Some may be but they have an army that is willing to shed blood in the name of Islam.. Peaceful Muslims support the warriors with their finances and their own kind of patriotism to their religion. Do Women and Men have equal rights?Indeed,Muslim women have,and had since 600 A.D.. Non-Muslim women have been oppressed and suppressed for centuries.Judaism and Christianity consider women to be an inferior species,born sinners,unclean etc. As for atheism,it is not a religion,and thus have no rules.If a chauvinist leader is elected,he may decide to revoke a law allowing women to vote and replace it with one that forbids it.And again, another leader may come up and pass another Bill declaring owning of property by women to be illegal etc.And of course,a just leader may appear centuries later and declare women and men to be equal?. However,since this is so unreliable,we cannot say that atheism gives women rights.In the early 18Th century,the English critic Daniel Defoe denounced marriage as "legalized prostitution." English law dispossessed any woman who married,with the notable exception of England's queens.Women were not allowed to own property or land or to control their own assets.William Blackstone,a celebrated 18Th century jurist, put it this way:"By marriage, the very being or legal existence of a woman is suspended,or at least incorporated or consolidated into that of the husband,under whose wing, protection, or cover she performs everything."
With the advent of Islam came the verse from the Quran elevating women,honoring them and giving them equal rights with men.Though as we notice in some cases,women have been given greater privilege that men(as in the case when a Muslim woman marries,she becomes an owner of her husband?s property,BUT her property remains hers alone, and her husband has no right over her wealth).
But Islam makes it clear that women and men are 100% equal in every possible way.In fact,the greatest and most learned scholar,or Imaam in Islam was a woman,the first Muslim on Earth was a woman,the greatest general in Islamic history was a woman(who had led one of the most powerful contingent of armed men, in 7Th century Arabia),and 14 centuries earlier,Muslim women were governors of ?Islamic? countries,and women help powerful positions all over the Islamic world.
Can we yet forget how in early 18Th century European leaders gathered in Paris to decide whether women should be regarded as humans or animals!?And I would not be surprised if another century later, non-Muslim leaders gather to vote to brand women as animals once again.You see, is there any law preventing them from this?Yes,we may be relieved to see that Islamic laws(i.e. The Quran)remains in its pristine form and has not been changed, and shall never be changed. Thus, our rights are protected within this Great Book.Inherently contently, the Quran?s authenticity has never been questioned. And this Quran,the direct speech of our Lord,the intelligible light,the bridge by which we shall return to salvation,is present,sustaining and illuminating.

A dowry is something given by the husband to his wife in order to please the woman?s heart and to hon our her. It is exclusively for the wife and it?s her possession and none of her guardians or relatives may share any part of it. No one has any power over her concerning how she wishes to dispose of it, as long as she does so in a legally acceptable manner. She may give it away as a gift, she may lend it to others or she may give it in charity or do any other permissible acts she wishes with it. Men and Women in Islam are treated equally! In fact many times the women gets more honor and respect. It was narrated that a man came to the Prophet (pub) and asked him, "Who amongst his near one had the greatest right over him?" The Prophet replied, "Your mother". The man then asked, "Who after that?" to which the Prophet replied again, "Your mother". Asked who is next, the Prophet again replied, "Your mother". When the man asked who after that, the Prophet said, "Your father" ? obviously this dozen?t mean you should?t love/respect your father but it shows the respect and status of women in Islam. Also If you read the Quran it says ?Respect the womb that bore you; and ?We have enjoined on the human being to be kind to the parents, in travail upon travail did their mother bore them and in years twain was their weaning?? A similar thing is mentioned in Surah Ahqaf, Ch.46, Verse No.15, it again repeats, which says, ?We have enjoined on the human beings to be kind to the parents - in pain did their mother bore them, and in pain did she give them birth - Pregnancy in the Qur?an has uplifted the women not degraded her. So you clearly, don?t know much about Women in Islam, or about divorce or anything in Islam!!
