Default Can someone give me a general overview of the Quran?

Please don't answer this question unless your a Muslim. When i get the money i plan on getting a copy of the Quran, but for now can anyone give me an overview of it?
For the individual who says Islam is a rip off Judaism and Christianity. 1st off, put your religious ego aside.Your comment is not answering the question. Secondly, saying what you just said, proves your ignorance for Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Obviously your know nothing of the history and don't have enough schema to even suggest that.

It says kill the Christians, kill the Jews but for sure, kill the other religions first because they're "pagans". And it's OK to tell a lie (Talya) in the interest of Islam.

Worship your projected ego and call it God or suffer hell.

Sure, the Quran is a beautiful Holy Book. It gives stories of the Prophets and the Miracles that they did on God's commands. It gives very beneficial life teachings and guidelines. It has astonishing scientific facts. It teaches peace, respect, and patience. Most importantly, it teaches that Islam is God's true religion and the path to Paradise.

There is absolutely nothing original in Islam.

It is a rip-off of Judaism and Christianity.

I'm not a Muslim, but until you can buy a copy here's a couple of links that should help. One is a search able version, so you can just type in a word or phrase and see what the Quran has to say about it.
You can download the whole book in PD format at the 3rd link

By the way, you don't need to spend a lot of money to buy a copy. There's a penguin paperback which is very inexpensive.

Okay. I'm a Christian (Just to preface this).
Those people who are commenting "It says kill everyone who's not a believer" and likewise, they obviously have not read ANY of the Q'uran. I haven't read all of it, but I have read parts. It DOES condemn nonbelievers (but so does Christianity in saying that if you do not accept Christ you cannot make it into the Kingdom of Heaven). It prefaces many chapters with "In the name of the merciful and compassionate God". It's really very similar to Christianity and Judaism (as all three are based off the God of Abraham and follow His teachings up to a certain point).

But I'd definitely recommend you read it for yourself perhaps in its entirety.

I breaks my heart that Islam is so misunderstood here in America...
