Default My religion is Jainism, If I were to have a chat with a Christian...?

Would most Christians accept my God, or would they say there is no such thing and that there is only Jesus?
Really? wow. I'm Jain but I do accept other religions, I mean that's their own choice, I'm not going to say they're going to hell because they don't believe in Jainism.

They would likely scold you and say that you need to accept Jesus or you would burn forever in eternal hellfire.

At least, that's what I get on a daily basis...

They would tell you that you were a heathen worship ping a false god and you will burn in hell when you die, even though they have no more proof of their god than you do, and you tend to live a more peaceful environment-friendly, healthy, and courteous life.

Many Christians believe all other religions are Satan's doing, and that all non-Christians will be tortured forever as they deserve, but all Christians deserve eternal bliss, and that you secretly do believe in the christian god but are lying about it because you like to "sin".

I would simply live my life and hope that you will see Jesus through me. I cannot deny Jesus and I would have to in order to accept any other God.

No, most Christians are pretty set on how they feel. One GOD, and Jesus being his only son. I would know because Iam a Christian. I would be the type to listen to your beliefs. But you wont find to many to agree.

You ask 10 Christians what it means to be a Christian, and you will get 10 answers

It really depends on the individual and how they interpret the Bible.

I consider myself a Liberal Christian and from my POV, there are many paths to the top of the mountain. Not one path is better or worse than the other. It's just a different way to the same destination.

Well.. they would say that, but most would likely to be quick as to "condemn you". Now, I wouldn't, because that's just being arrogant. Most so called "Christians" who don't even attend church or have a personal relationship with Christ would be quick as to do that. I used to. I didn't say, "You're going to hell" or something like that, but I'd would've said, "It's not real", or "You're wasting your time." without actually backing it up with facts.

I know a great group of Christians (in Student Venture, DA bomb). They once explained to me that God would rather see you as an atheist than to call yourself a Christian. He would in term, "Spit you out".

To wrap things up, I think It would be a yes / no type answer. Some are truly passionate and won't criticize you, but others may be against you for that.

Most Christians would be respectful to your religion. Most believe in Ecumenism, which can sometimes mean that even if they don't believe in someone Else's religion, they should still respect your right to believe in it.

Depends if the Christian is Catholic or Protestant, and where he/she is from. I don't really know anything about you religion, but I never bash other people just because they don't believe in God. I'm Christian, but I don't really organize my religion.
People should be able to interact across religion

The doctrine of "Anekantavada" makes it is possible for Jains to accept truth in other religions. Jainism holds that truth is Miltie-facted and no one philosophy can stake claim over the truth. Jainism holds that other philosophies other than Jainism are right in their own right way and it is possible to attain heavens and even salvation by members of other religions. As such Jainism does not have concept of Kafirs, pagans, heretics or Natka's. To understand the inclusive and relativistic approach of Jainism, check out the following link:-

To understand Jain Philosophy check the following link ?

In my opinion, Anekantavada and Ahimsa are the solution to the worlds problem.
