Default Jews, Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Shinto What happened to Christianity and Islam to

No other religion (except fundamentalist Islam and fundamentalist Christianity) make the ridiculous claim that their religion is the ONLY path to salvation.

Jews, Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Shinto all are
"live and let live" cultures. What happened to Christianity and Islam to make them so intolerant?

Too much involvement with politics/power. It increased their sense of an "us vs. them" reality that doesn't even exist in the first place and allowed the possibility of destroying what is different.

The effects of this are still seen today, even if most people don't go out to slaughter the infidels. Of course, many of them still ARE in power because many people either 1.) choose the religious candidate simply because he is religious, or 2.) are forced or accustomed to accepting traditional religious leadership.

Disagree. Almost all religions, including the ones you listed, pretend to be the only path to salvation.

Keep praying for Armageddon and that you will endure until then because all those false religions that you have listed (except "true" Christianity) will all be destroyed at that time, and all those practicing them.

Won't it be nice that those who receive everlasting life after Armageddon will be unified on the earth in one truth, in one religion under a heavenly government run by Jehovah God, his Son, Jesus, and the spiritual creatures (the angels and the 144,000 taken from the earth)?

No more of this false religious nutcase garbage that misleads so many in the earth landing certain death.

To the Christian the bible is God's word, you either accept it in whole as the inerrant word of God or toss the whole thing out. The reason the true Christian believes Christianity is exclusive is because of the following verses, Jesus said "I am the Way the Truth and the Life no man comes to the Father except through me" Wouldn't you say that is grounds for saying there is no other way to God? Secondly God's word says" neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given to man whereby you must be saved" rather exclusive I would say. This is God the Creator's way not necessarily man's way or choice. All other religions or cults are not of God they are man made and will not lead anyone to salvation or heaven. God's way, He gives you the choice, take Christ as Savior or refuse Christ. To refuse is the unpardonable sin which leads to hell. Accept Christ as Lord and Savior( God's gift to man) and you will spend eternity in heaven. That is it in a nutshell, you can plead whatever or massage it any way you want but it will not get you to heaven.

John 14:6 I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Me (Jesus)
No other religion makes this claim and backs it up.
Other religions promote a way to god THEIR way.
The Bible makes the statement of God making a way to mankind, to restore a relationship lost by disobedience and sin.
No other religion makes that claim.
The theory from man goes as this:
One proves there is another way, one says there is only one way.
One must be wrong.
How does anyone prove which is right and wrong?
There must be an absolute truth to base any debate such as this.
For all the prophecies claimed in the Bible to be by chance alone, the odds are 1 in 1 (followed by 93 zeroes).
If the Bible is God inspired, it never makes a claim of other religions, or works, as a way to Him.
One thing I will say about this debate, man has spent centuries making ways to God without the rules, commandments and obedience required by the Almighty.
Each one will fall short.
Except Christianity and the claim of Jesus being God. It has pr oven itself over time, archeology, and the prophecies coming true AS PREDICTED.
No other religion promotes the Truth as the Bible does.

Its not the religion that's responsible - people will always find a way to use and exploit anything to gain power, mainly through scaring people into following them or brainwashing. It's all very political and I wish these extremists would just go away and stop giving followers of the same religion a bad name! Its totally unfair because they get bullied and victimized because of them idiots spreading ignorance - like we need anymore. So annoying!

Both come from the same bloodline from Abraham. The split came trough the two ways in life. The way of Sarah meaning freedom and the way of Hagar meaning the way under the law.Muslims claim Ismael was the first born to whom God made the promise and Christians believe that Izak was the first born to whom the promise was made.Christians believe in the way of forgiveness through the mercy of Jesus Christ,That's why Christians do not chop of your hand when u steal.Christians believe that Jesus was our Savior and the son of God,Muslims believe he was only a Prophet.Christians believe that God is a three entity existing of Father,Son and Holy ghost.Muslims believe in God as one only and anybody declaring otherwise could be sentenced to death. That's how it was explained to me,could never confirm whether i am right, people get a bit touchy on this subject.

I disagree with your premise. The second Vatican council very clearly stated the favorable opinion of the Catholic Church to other religions.

Quotes:
Hinduism - "Thus, in Hinduism, men contemplate the divine mystery and express it through an unspent fruitfulness of myths and through searching philosophical inquiry. They seek release from the anguish of our condition through ascetically practices or deep meditation or a loving, trusting flight toward God."

Buddhism - "Buddhism in its multiple forms acknowledges the radical insufficiency of this shifting world. It teaches a path by which men, in a devout and confident spirit, can either reach a state of absolute freedom or attain supreme enlightenment by their own efforts or by higher assistance."
