We came up with Wicca paganism, which is about as peaceful and spiritual as anyone could possibly want.

Peaceful you say.

These so called peaceful faiths are false. People love to mention the crusades in reference to Christianity when it only involved Catholics killing everyone who was not Catholic.

If you are going to exploit others you need to see them as bad people to justify taking advantage of them.

Hey, I'm American and I learned Taoism and Jainism itself from an American. Pantheism/Jainism/Paganism/Taoism all runs together in some way. All have some sort of focus on inner peace and being apart of something larger than ourselves.

Religion is generally not related to spirituality. Buddhism really isn't a religion in the sense that the intent is not to believe in God but to realize God...to experience God...to become self-conscious of God. God isn't made into something to belief in, defend, or impose on, and control others....which is generally what most religion is used for. Based on current and historical truth one might even conclude that is the purpose of religion which is quite far removed from spirituality. Spirituality is an introspective practice of self realization. There's really nothing to come up with. It's just a path people chose to walk or not. Many Americans have this. You just don't hear much about it because they've nothing to contribute to a mind dominated conversation.

They are busy being Christian
also Buddhism has had it's proselytizing period and the monastery residents can be quite passive aggressive.
I've lived in Hong Kong and spent time in the Po Lin Monastery, before it was neighbor to a Disney attraction.

I like my Northern European Heritage, and I don't put much stock in peace, I do not see that is has ever been the nature of the human being to be completely passive, just like humans are not designed to be vegetarians, our teeth, digestive systems, and arttherapeuticdo best with meat in the diet-including red meat. Conception, Birth, Life and often death are violent traumatic situations, it's the natural order of things-struggle,conquest and death.
Peace is a nice ambition, I hope we get there.

I am a Buddhist, but I think this question is flawed. Christ taught non-violence, forgiveness, tolerance, compassion, and honesty. Christ was a cool guy, but sadly Christians don't tend to live like he did. I even suspect most modern Christians would think Christ a dirty hippie and not want to ever talk to him.

Europeans maybe. LOL Firefox seems to check all my spillage. You can also download the free http://iespell.com/download.php spell checker thingy. It's great.
Oh, how come. Hm. It seems like logical people can rationalize anything with 'LOGIC'. Yeah, I'm down on organizations. They all seem to try and enslave you instead of free you. Cultures are binding too, aren't they?
