I was born in a Jain family yet, I am more a believer of Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism than Jainism! Why? In the very initial stages of my life I observed that not only Lord Krishna came about thousand years earlier to Mahavira... the 24Th Tirthankara of Jainism (preceptor)... but the wisdom contained in Bhagavad Gita was foremost of all scriptures existing on mother earth!
Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism contains truth but only truth! If Bhagavad Gita contains 64 precepts, Jainism only 28! As per Bhagavad Gita God Almighty is the only truth of life. In absence of God Almighty cosmos could not sustain as the present cosmos came into being only when God Almighty exploded self with a big bang!
On the contrary Jainism does not believe in the existence of God Almighty! This is a flawed surmise of Jainism! God Almighty not only does exist... but we have within us God Almighty in miniscule form as our soul atman! If a grain of sand is an individual soul atman... the whole mound God Almighty!
