Buddhist are very few in India. We did not actively protest many practices. But we are and were against the caste system, and pointless philosophical "debate".

Jains/Buddhists do not believe in authority of Vedas .
Jains/Buddhists are atheistic religions , unlike Hinduism .
Jains/Buddhists believe self is God and there is no other God .

Hindus treat Jainism and Buddhism as sub sects of Hinduism. But Janis and Buddhists don't like this.
Donni about any other thing.

If the word "Hinduism" all Religions that had their beginning in Indian sub-continent are all under the umbrella of Hinduism only--If the word Vaidheeki(Vedhic) Dharmam is used, then Buddhism,Jainism and Sikhism are different in their teachings.Vedham believes BRAHMAN is the pivot around which the whole religion revolves(Vedha+Antham=Vedhaantham)--Buddhists and Jains do not believe in BRAHMAM--the "Param" part of it--that is, outside the individual SOUL,Nothing need to be worried about.Vaidheekis believe that there is an "IGA Brahmam" (Individual Soul)and "Para Brahmam"(Universal Soul).---Sikhs believe in BRAHMAM,-the word BRAHMAM is mentioned in Guru Granth Sahib atleast 50 to 60 times.--they do not believe in Vedhic Rituals.
