Jainism extends its compassion to all living creatures instead of just humans, and their main focus is non violence and to never cause any living being needless suffering, they even strain the water they drink with a cheese clothe before consumption as to not accidentally swallow tiny insects, they even brush the ground in front of them before stepping as to not kill an ant in their path.
if your god is so loving why does he not extend his love to all creatures with such vehemency as he supposedly does humans? why would an all loving god create a food chain when the creatures on the menu are capable of suffering?
Jesus was nothing but a charlatan, who might have been insane. he called himself god to have rule over others, and claimed it was morally just for a place such as hell to be for eternity. the new testament was the only place where hell was mentioned as eternal. how is eternal suffering just for finite sins?

That's not "moral".
We'd be Eaton' alive by insects if we didn't swat or step on a few. That was part of the plan.
Do you see what happens when you go out of your way to save EVERY single living being? This nation is what happens. I give everyone and everything a fair chance (aside from insects). It has to be a challenge or it isn't fun anyway.
Anyone who publicly toots their own religion's horn and downs others' is annoying to me either way.
They should tell the truth and stop trying to justify their eating meat. Their "Jesus did not eat meat". But that was the "old word", they have changed everything to suit them like they had the "new" and "old" versions of the bible.
This is one of our Country's greatest privilege. You have a right to worship or believe as you wish even if your beliefs may seem odd to me or you may believe in nothing. But those who claim that only their God is real and demean or ridicule the beliefs of others are obnoxious idiots!
Religion exists & persists because it conveys a survival advantage on those who believe.
Life is a competition. Religion evolved to intensify group cohesion in order to win that competition.
The rules to intensify group cohesiveness are called Morality or Ethics
And they are typically variations of 'Treat other as you want to be treated"
And this is Love. To consider the self interest of another as if it were your own. Love is to extend your sense of self to include a group.
Where Jainism & indeed most Liberals fall down is in the notion that the goal of Religion is universal non-violence. This is absurd. Life is a competition. The point of Religion is to help YOUR group win it. Non - violence WITHIN the group, but its onward Christians soldiers for the enemies of those you Love. The LOVE of God unites one tribe to defeat another.
Good is when the battle goes your way. Evil is when it does not.
Hence the Unifying power of Christianity is good for Christians, but evil for those compete with them.
Jainism preaches unconditional non violence. Now this might keep believers out of needless fights but it also guarantees they lose any genuine competition for resources.
And the expansion of morality to tiny insects is beyond absurd. It's a distraction & complete waste of effort.
So when adopted, Christian morality allows a society to dominate - hence it is by definition superior to the morality of Jainism.
God is the Logos. For most folk the belief that 'God is on their side' is empowering.
Look deeper and it's 'You must be on God's side'
Look deeper & and you realize that everything is a manifestation of God.
That there is no good without evil. No pleasure without pain. No joy without suffering. No life without death. No evolution without extinction.
It is this competition that makes us alive and vital. It is the struggle that makes us human & noble. There are no heroes in Heaven. The absolute love of God is that we may become heroes on Earth. But none of this can exist without death & suffering.
The light & dark are one. There is no shadow where there shines no sun.
Now Right wing or otherwise very few souls see this deep.
But they don't need to.
Conservatism tells them to be self reliant.
Jesus tells then to treat their brothers fairly.
Eternal damnation tells them how important this is.
The Religious Right doesn't want Darwinism taught.
The Liberal Left wants it taught but they don't understand it.
You see, Darwin doesn't care about the TRUTH of a belief,
Only the EFFECT of that belief on the believer's ability to survive & prevail.
That is the truth of the Logos. That is the truth of God.
