I hate to disagree with so many experts but a portion of the Jewish people do in fact constitute a race. In fact, Jews are the only group constituted by as religion, a nationality, a country and a race!
The evidence for the racial component of Judaism is disease. There are a number of "Jewish" diseases. Tay-Sachs, Psoraiasis, ... When a disease primarily affects a group of people, the disease is generally genetic, and the people that comprise that group can be considered a race!
Certainly converts may not be part of this Jewish race, unless they are returning to Judaism after some generations away.
