because they are the most strange people in the face of the earth. first they killed too many profits and one of them was Jesus. secondly, they think that they are the designated people for the god. finally they think all the other people are slaves for them
I think you mean "the most persecuted." Additionally, Judaism is not a race, it's a religion. Third, probably because Judaism is the longest existing religion (apart from paganism, but that's sort of in and out). People have had more time to persecute them.
Hate is not rational, and can therefore not be explained. People either grow out of it, as with diapers, or they don't. Peace out.
(To those above, Jesus was a Jew and saved Jews. Also, the Romans killed Jesus. I am a Christian and I don't want you hypocritical pinheads using my religion to hate anyone. Peace out.)
God set it up this way so that they(Jews) would turn to Him and make Him their God. They are the chosen people but they were disobedient to Him. They still don't believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah so until Armageddon comes, they will still experience this suffering.
i think that the best answer to your question would be an essay writ en by Albert Einstein, as part an article that he wrote on Nov/26/1938 for Collier's Magazine NY.
i found it in a book call es Ideas and Opinions by Albert EInstein, check out this link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0517003937/102-6772225-4301709?v=glance&n=283155
Because some of them know things that most other religions/cultures do not know.
The Christian church could not handle some of the things in the Torah, so they departed from Judiasm.
Even though I do not believe in any religion...
Judiasm is has many, many truths and Jews are educated and well-rounded.
Im seriously disappointed with the majority of answers on this thread. Honestly, these pundits are spouting off information that is sub-standard to Wikipedia.
Jews, originally, belong to an ethno-religion. This is a religion strongly associated with a specific race. Christianity was once an ethno-religion, during the domination of caucasians and the Holy Roman Empire.
The Jewish nation is openly called the chosen people of God. This is supported by the fact that they still exist as a semi-major ethnic group after thousands of continuous years of persecution.
Though its hard to say why the likes of Adolph Hitler were anti-semitic, certain aspects of racism almost always start from fear, jealousy, etc. Many, such as Classical Roman Catholics, were possibly jealoud of God's open favor on a group of people that didnt accepf Jesus or the Catholic ways.
Did you know that the anti-Semitism of the Germans goes back close to 500 years? Hitler simply used something already there as a tool to fixate and unite the people of Germany. Hatred of that kind is always harmful. Always costly. Always results in horrible acts between one group of humans and another. I was going to post a link to an article, but don't have a high enough post count, so it can be found at (spme.net/cgi-bin/articles.cgi?ID=6298) enter as a url.
We all forget that there is a dark side to all religions. The side that splits people and tempts them to hate each other. The truth is that there are only two kinds of people in this world - good people, and bad people. A Jew has as much a tendency to be good as anybody else, and as much tendency to be bad as anybody else. These statements of hatred and accusation against the Jews are simply nonsense, nonsense that has no place in civilized society. We must seek objectivity. We should judge each individual for his own actions and not the actions of those before him. Moreover, his actions should be judged against laws that apply to all.
When I pray to God, when I praise Him, I tell him that I won't mind having a Jew, Muslim, Christian, Hindu etc. as a neighbor in Heaven!
