in part because Jews decided a good long time ago not to proselytize.

They haven't. The "Old Testament" is not the same as the Torah.

Christianity developed as a proselytizing religion; that is, it seeks to spread the faith and encourage others to convert to it. Judaism, in contrast, has long not sought to proselytize. Judaism accepts converts, but it doesn't actively seek converts, and this has been true for most of Judaism's history. The reason is partly theological, partly historical, as Jews spent most of their history as a minority within countries hostile to them, where conversions to Judaism were sometimes even outlawed.

answer: because Jews aren't seeking converts and don't threaten people with a non-existent hell. One doesn't have to be Jewish to reach G-d and heaven. Converts are welcome in Judaism, they aren't chased.

No offense but Christians aren't spreading the knowledge of Torah/Tanakh, you are spreading knowledge of the Christian Bible - they are NOT the same. Neither is the concept of messiah, the Messiah, and elitism.

Just because the Christian bible contains the 5 books of the Torah doesn't mean they have knowledge of it.

According to Torah the covenant G-d made with the Jewish people is everlasting, according to Christianity that covenant is no longer in effect. If you want knowledge of the Torah you need to look to the Jews, the ones who actually have knowledge of Torah.

Even the Christians I know who claim to study and follow Torah reject most of the Jewish commentary on the Torah. That is how they manage to get the simplest of things wrong.

False assumption. Christians don't spread knowledge of the Torah. They spread knowledge of the Bible, which is NOT the same thing at all. All this is besides the fact that Jews don't seek out converts, as they believe that there are many paths to G-d, and while Judaism is right for Jews, it may not be the right path for other people.

Because they impose their beliefs on others, often under threat of death. Jews have lived in just as many nations as Christians where they have often been slaughtered by same.

Jews never proselytize although all are welcome to become a part of the Jewish community.
