Default The Bible, Torah, Koran etc should they be recycled?

To one person they are the word of God. To many more they not worth the paper they are written on.
Surely the word of God would be recognizable to everyone!
Is it time we recycled these works of fiction? (Think of all the trees we would save!)

You do not need a bible to know God. God made the trees and sources we need for the bibles. Surely it's put to good use and the bibles given to people that believe.

I'm OK with recycling works of fiction. Just don't recycle the Bible. True books shouldn't be recycled.

When you say The Word of God you actually don't mean black and red ink on white paper but what God inspired man to write. You can destroy all bibles and Gods Word will always last. Man has tried over the centuries.

The Bible is already recycled. Starting from Constantine who decoded to edit and refurbish it to our present day where the Vatican still holds LOTS of texts that should be in the book and are simply kept out as "heresy" because they would make the basis of modern Christianity crumble to its foundations.
The Qu'ran has been maintained throughout all this time exactly as it was delivered to mankind.
As for real material recycling, you can already get bibles, Torahs and Qurans in book form.

James, just because you get nothing out of any of these books, doesn't mean anything, plenty of others, myself included, do. We that do , could take works that you like and ask the same question, but that would be just as absurd, right? Besides, I enjoy a variety of literature. Censoring in an attempt to force people's beliefs toward a different direction , is wrong and futile, especially when it comes to matters of faith. Faith is spiritual, and that is something that is impossible to take from someone, that will always be up to them.
