No, because not only do atheists reject God, they reject the Son of God, Jesus, which is the only way to heaven ( John 14:6 and Acts 4:12 ). Romans 10:9-10 is the way to become a Christian. See John 3:3&18, and 1 John 5:12.
Jhn 3:18 He that believer on him is not condemned: but he that believer not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God
Most atheists are aware of the fact that heaven and hell are fictional places...ya know, they don't exist. It's like asking, "Will Christians ever get to fly to Neverland? Where does it specifically state in Peter Pan that they won't?"
According to Christian theology, there's no chance that an atheist will go to heaven. Jesus said only those who do the will of the Father will get into heaven. Why would an atheist want to go to heaven anyway. The Kingdom of Heaven is ruled by a King who is God. If they've been putting their fingers in God's eyes all their lives, denying His existence, why would they want to be with Him? Wouldn't they be more comfortable with their own kind? Bird of a feather fly together. Get it? They would be totally out of place in heaven.
Jesus said that the only way to the father was to accept and believe in him. He said that God would let his people and believers will live eternally with him; while those who don't have to be tossed into the lake of fire and brimstone. I guess, the reasoning is that they are given so many chances to accept, and yet they spit on the idea of god.
that's how we know that, unless they start believing, they WILL go to hell.
in Islam: u will go to hell in all cases except if Ur Muslim :P..all Muslims eventually go to heaven but those with a lot of "bad deeds" will go to hell first!
New International Version Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 3:16-18 (New International Version)
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
First there was mythology, then Judaism used those early popular myth stories as parables to teach reality. Xians mistranslated Jewish scripture, inserted literal demons and hell, renamed it the 'old' testament, and added the new testament to save Xians from the hell and demons they inserted in the first place. Muslims further mistranslated the already mistranslated Xian old testament, mistranslated the Xian gospels, and added even more demons (jinn) from the book of Enoch to create the Qumran.
Jesus was supposed to be Jewish and there is no hell in Judaism. Also, in Judaism, we are and have been living in an age of chaos and war, but this age will end and we will enter a new age of permanent peace when people return to God as reality, NOT mythology.
Atheists are closer to God than Xians or Muslims, since atheists believe in reality. Sheol means 'grave' in Hebrew, NOT 'hell' as in sanity and islam. The only way anyone is going to hell is if zeus is god.
Judaism says that righteous people will have a place in the new world to come - in the new age of peace, but Judaism also has no specific idea of what that means - could be reincarnation or could be just that the person is remembered. Whatever happens, it will happen in a natural way.
there will be a second resurrection with out the devil putting things like there is no God or devil. and that's the second chance for everyone who messed up. ( just very brief).
St. John 3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Further, this can't be done by anyone willing to dunk you underwater, it has to be done by someone of authority. One who can trace their priesthood lineage back to Christ. Some men claiming to have the priesthood will come to find that God never recognized them as having any authority.
Consider the failed exorcism by one who thought they had authority but did not:
Act 19:13-5
13 ? Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacher.
14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
So what of those that die without baptism? We we know that one purpose of temples is for performing baptisms by proxy:
Corinthians 15:29
Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?
What does this mean? It means your atheist after this life can still receive baptism. But we're told the decision is easier now. Also, we can earn a greater degree of glory now as we must do so by faith alone.
There are many verses from the Qumran that specifically states that they wont go to heaven (or will go to hell)
This is just one of the many verses.
Chapter 2 verses 6-7
6. As to those who reject Faith, it is the same to them whether thou warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe.
7. Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur).
Oh, I'm in Heaven right now, sister. Right here on Yahoo Answers, where I have recently learned of my Cold Heart, and am surrounded by people who make cute little jokes about burning me alive.
Shouldn't make fun of people's faiths, though. Bad taste, you know.
Also: it appears that the true import of your question hasn't quite gotten through to several of the respondents.
