Default Does this section of scripture show that the Roman gentiles kept Torah or does it sho

Romans 2:11-15 GNB For God judges everyone by the same standard. (12) The Gentiles do not have the Law of Moses; they sin and are lost apart from the Law. The Jews have the Law; they sin and are judged by the Law. (13) For it is not by hearing the Law that people are put right with God, but by doing what the Law commands. (14) The Gentiles do not have the Law; but whenever they do by instinct what the Law commands, they are their own law, even though they do not have the Law. (15) Their conduct shows that what the Law commands is written in their hearts. Their consciences also show that this is true, since their thoughts sometimes accuse them and sometimes defend them.

I think it says that they "kept Torah" unknowingly or involuntarily.

Yes, because it says clearly that even the Romans are held accountable to the Law of Moses.

that was written 2000 years ago when the world was just starting to being diversified. the gentiles was anyone who was not Jewish. therefore they did not have the "law" because they did not know it.
Jarusalem, Jews, Israel, etc are where it all started, even gentiles (myself and all us christian westerners) know this, that Jews precede us.

Don't forget Paul was chosen by Christ almighty to be the apostle "for the gentiles". why? because all us westerners today all we seem to read is the new testament which is pretty much Paul's epistles. this has been presupposed by God already. Us gentiles do view the law, however we view the law nowadays as Paul has taught it. we sort of disregard the law because all it does it point out at how much of sinners we are.

we gentiles keep it, but we are not bound by it. same answer for roman gentiles. we are no different

I believe it shows some of them kept the law, without even knowing it, and it shows a glimpse into the new covenant, when God writes His laws in our hearts and mind.

Those that say the law is no more, isn't it odd how the law is defended greatly in this chapter? Paul goes on to say, that the gentiles that keep the law, are counted as Israel. HM

Rom 2:26 Therefore if the circumcision (gentiles) keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his circumcision be counted for circumcision (Israel)?

Also it is very odd and sad, that those who Dennie the law, read this verse , and say it doesn't say what it plainly says.
Rom 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

So yes it shows some of them did keep the law in their hearts without knowing the law, As to Why? I think this section of scripture gives us an example of the New Covenant , when God puts His laws in our hearts and mind.

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,
saith the Lord;
I will put my laws into their mind,
and write them in their hearts:
and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
