Default Who has read the Quran, the Bible, and the Tanakh and which one...?

I'm looking for an individual who has spent their time reading, studying, and researching religions from every aspect and has read all three of the books listed. I want this specific individual to answer this question: Which of the three books makes most sense, if any, and to state their current beliefs at the moment.

Their all the same. The only inconsistency is Jesus dying. & the NT Bible never came from God like all the other holy books, it came from Paul & co.

I think just to find out what make most sense, one do not have to require such a deep research? Do you comprehend the idea that God need to commit suicide for the sin of humanity?

first and foremost issue with the bible is that while christian claim it to be from God, bible itself does not make such claim. It is like you claiming that "Great expectation" is word of God.

I read the Qur'an, the Bible, and the Tanakh(basically the Old Testament.)

Did not finish reading the Qur'an, so I can't really give a honest answer, but I have to say the only way the bible makes any sense, is if you look at it from a religious persons point of view, the Old testament is scary as hell, and the Qur'an, from what I read so far refers too many times to Christians, Jews etc, In other words I think it should have focus on Islam more than it does on other religions.

Sinner the Agnostic.

i have read all of them through, though maybe not as much studying of all of it... but i have read them thoroughly.
to say which one makes the most sense is difficult because in reading them you have to keep in mind the historical period and circumstances under which they were written.
the Quran is much more fluent as a book since it is pretty much a collection of poetic statements of faith transcribed by one man thought to be the very words of God as said through an angel... in Arabic the poetry of it is supposed to be absolutely beautiful, and in English it is a much easier read than the others. i was truly moved by it and can understand why it can instill such fanaticism.
because the tankkWhnd the new testament are a collection of books by different writers from different times and perspectives so it will be more difficult to make sense of it right off the bat... it just doesn't read as easily.
my beliefs are this: i was an avid, outspoken, atheist from an atheist family for the first 23 years of my life. I began seriously seeking and researching all faiths after that, though. I'm 29 now and am almost certain i am, or will become, a christian. for me, the new testament just speaks to me in a way i can't describe.
i know for sure that i am no longer an atheist, though... i said some pretty horrid things about Christians and others of faith back then and i regret much of it deeply. I'm still a thinking man of science, though, as is my family.

The Bible I've read, and got a basic idea about the Tanakh from the old testament's first 5 books (Torah). The Qur'an I'm trying to read lately, but some say you have to read it in Arabic to get the real meanings. Unfortunately i can only read English. The Bhagavad Gita I've read as well.

All of them makes sense, although only for those who are culturally born in these book's scion-political milieus... these are interconnected. It'll take a really 'good' missionary to coax a person to adapt to another 'culturally-biased' book that's different from the culture/social climate that a person is originally born in.

You have to thank developments in trade and travel for these 'missionaries' to spread their stories.

I've read them all and more. The Quran I burned along with all my other occult books after a divine revelation that shook me to the core; according to my wife which walked in on this burning it looked like something out of hell. The living room was filled with close to a thousand books of the occult which included the Quran and I was throwing them into the fireplace which my wife said from outside you could see the flames coming out of the top of the chimney; all books including the Quran were totally consumed which is something in itself. I say this to let you know that Islam is an idolatrous religion in that they worship a moon god they call Allah whom they want the world to believe is the same god Jews and Christians worship. The Tanakh is about the same as the Christian's Bible Old Testament. The Word of Almighty God (The Bible or the Tree of Life) is the only true inspired Word of God but must be studied in depth and read constantly in order to have any Understanding and Knowledge of its True meaning. Current belief is a vague question if directed toward the Holy Word of God. As a Christian I believe my Bible reveals that Almighty God, our Father, in His mercy ordained His precious Son Jesus to save a lost world of souls by taking the sins of this world upon himself offering himself as a sacrifice without blemish as defined in the Old Testament for a sin offering that we would have a way of salvation through true repentance and accepting Jesus as our personal savior thus insuring us a place in the Kingdom of Almighty God our Father.

answer: I've read all three and other religious works.

The Koran is the weakest of all three. Contradicting both the Torah/Tanakh and Christian Bible - which are far older than the Koran. The contradictions are obviously self-serving for Islam and, particularly, Mohammad's bid for power and to add legitimacy to an upstart religion. For example, the Torah isn't allowed to be changed by one letter and yet the Koran claims that it has been and states the son of promise to Abraham was Ishmael, born to a second wife to Abraham and that Hagar and son Ishmael were cast aside because of Sarah's jealousy (Abraham's other wife). None of that is accurate. Hagar was Sarah's slave and slept with Abraham. Isaac was the son of promise and the one to inherit the eternal covenant. One obvious fact, if Ishmael was the child of promise, I doubt G-d would have let him be cast out and his descendants fall into paganism until Mohammad had fits and claimed he had visions of an angel.

None of them "make sense" - the 3 are about religion and that never makes sense.

Personally, I'll stick with the original that hasn't been altered - the Torah/Tanakh

I don't think any of us can claim to having studied all three in depth and I think it's ridiculous to require reading the entire text to answer a question about what works right for you.

Remember, it's not just how the text reads, but how it's translated into today's terms.

My familiarity comes from the Bible and the Tanakh. Of course I can say they make the most sense to me. I don't know why I'd have to divert from the religion that I agree w/ completely to find another that I may or may not agree w/ completely.

And since Jews have never called ours the only way, I think I can speak for us all when I say that we don't care what other people believe or think, as long as it doesn't encroach upon our own human rights.
