Why don't Muslims open a church or synagogue blocks from Mecca?

To teach cultural tolerance of other religions.

Why don't they lead by example and not make it a crime to carry a Bible in Muslim dominated countries?

They want to preach tolerance and understanding of their religion here why can't we do the same there?

Because Allah is great, and he wants us to show the world his greatness.

Islam is the only true religion, and Allah is trying to show the world that this is true.

Because unlike the USA, Saudi Arabia is a Muslim nation, that is ruled by Muslim law. Mecca is for Muslims only. Saudi Arabia doesn't want to teach tolerance and understanding. Who is going to use a church or synagogue in Saudi Arabia (where mecca is)

Christianity and Judaism is practiced in Iran, Dubai, Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt.
