what is a jewish synagogues like and how is its services diffrent than a catholic church?

answer: No kneeling, no statues of saints, no crucifix and no priest that absolves others of sins or blesses the congregation. No communion.

A Jewish synagogue contains a Holy Ark, which hold the Torah, and Bima, which is a platform on which the cantor, or prayer leader, stands.

Services contain only prayer. There is no communion, or anything of that sort. It's straight-up praying to God, led by the cantor.

Orthodox and many Conservative services are in Hebrew. Reform is usually in English.

Most synagogues do not have a choir, but some Reform ones do.

A Synagogue will not protect you from Vampires, Demons, Devils, or Zombies, a Catholic Church will.

Of course if your Jewish that won't matter because you won't believe in those things.
