There are TWO Talmuds and they each comprise numerous volumes. The Talmud is what we call the 'oral Torah', it clarifies the written Torah, the five books of Moses.
Can you be more specific in your question, perhaps?
Please clarify your question.
The Talmud is oral commentary (now written) that defines the laws and explains the Scriptures. For example, one chapter in one section of the Talmud concerns regulations concerning the boundaries of a town and the measurements of the legal limits, while another chapter in the other section of the Talmud might clarify what the Scriptures actually meant.
