Of course not. Unless you're a Muslim, you can't even get close to Mecca.

Good thing we have America, a country created so that all people could worship their respective religion freely...

Mecca does not have freedom of religion, or much freedom at all for that matter.

We in the US, on the other hand, claim to have religious freedom. Would you like that we were more like Mecca?

That Borg ship is really just fabric, contained within is a collection of black rocks held together by some substance, which they feel has significant importance as they see it as part of the first alter used to make a sacrifice to God. They believe the rock was at one time white, but the sins of mankind over the years have turned it black. They call it the black rock.

The only people allowed in Mecca are Muslims, there is no way they would allow churches or synagogues be built. But, they are also not the United States of America, they do not allow free thought like we do.

Free thought, is what makes our nation great. We should not reform our country on the failed principles of others.

If any such thing had been done Allah the most merciful ,have commanded through his sole Agent to sever the hands of the persons who put up such a building in Mecca .The Muslims alone can put up such buildings all over the world ;but no other religions should put up any religious buildings in any Muslim country in the world .

don't know about the ship but the answer is "NO". In many North African countries there are different places of worship not so in certain Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia or Iran.

Why are people so eager to compare the United States to Saudi Arabia?

From a Muslim perspective, I would guess that you're engaging in deliberate blasphemy. From the standards of ordinary politeness, you're also being obnoxious with the question about the "Borg ship."

But whatever, I can't stop that.

As for your question about churches & synagogues being build in Mecca - I don't think there are any. But I don't much care, because I don't live in Mecca.

I live in the United States, and in the United States I want MY government to follow its own Constitution.

Article 1 of that Constitution gives ALL Americans the right to "freedom of religion." It prohibits the US government from involving itself in ANY measure regarding the "establishment of religion."

I realize Saudi Arabia does not have religious freedom, and that it's also lacking in many Muslim societies (though not all). I feel sorry for people living in those societies.

But here in the US, I think we should foll low the Constitution -- and that means Cordoba Institute can build their religious structure near the old WTC site, even if everybody else hates the idea.

So here in the United States -- let's follow the Constitution, okay?
