Default Why did the apostle Paul go to the synagogue on the Sabbath day instead of Sunday?

The apostle Paul didn't become a member of the church until long after the death and resurrection of Christ. The whole Christian community says he rose on Sunday and replaced the Sabbath with this day. So my question is why isn't he going on Sunday?

Acts 13:13-14
13Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.
14But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.

Acts 18:1,4
1After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth;
4And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
Hogie - You are absolutely correct.

Christians don't know that the Sabbath was originally Saturday and is still Saturday for Jews.

Paul was a Jew and still following the Old Law as required to do until after the resurrection of Christ.

I don't know why so many Christians still think they are under the Old Covenant.

The Sabbath was originally Friday night to Saturday night, for the Jews. But since Jesus rose from the dead on a Sunday, the NT church decided that their "sabbath"/holy day/day of rest would be Sunday, as you've said.

BUT Jews wouldn't have observed this new sabbath, they would have kept to their old one. So since Paul went to talk to them, it's quite within the bounds of probability that he went on the Jewish sabbath in order to have an audience.

Christ rose on Sunday - true.

The Sabbath has always been the 6Th day of the week - Saturday, and continues to be.

Paul went to the Synagogue on Saturday because that's when the Jews were meeting that he intended to engage.

I don't know of any Bible-believers who think that Sunday is the new Sabbath. Perhaps new Christians, or social Christians believe that, but every where I go, it's common knowledge that Saturday is still the Sabbath.

You're kidding right?

If Paul had gone to the synagogues on Sunday, or any other day, who would he have preached to? No one would have been there. People had to work for a living.
