What led to Jewish immigration to America?
Was the Holocaust a big factor? I'm trying to understand it by reading articles on line but different websites contradict each other. How did the Jewish come to America and what was the biggest factor in their immigration?

There was lots of Jewish immigration to the US before World War 2 - lots of them came in the late 19Th century through Ellis Island. Jews were present in America since its founding, but it was not until after WW2 that it became their major base of operations. Before then it was Germany.
