Default Im Catholic and my boyfriend is jewish?

My boyfriend and i have been together for a year and a half now. He comes from a very strong following Jewish family, however he only really likes the family participation part of the religion, and doesn't follow much else. I come from a catholic background, but dint really have Mich of a religion. I dint mind at all that he is Jewish, but around his family i feel like I'm intruding still after so long. When we discuss it he tells me not to worry, and that you cant help who you fall in love with. and that he doesn't care about religion.
However deep down i keep thinking about what if 3 years down the track i want to marry him, what if its too hard... will it be too hard with his strong willed family, i will not convert (personal reasons)....
am i wasting my time? or will it work out because we love each other so much...

The old joke goes that he teaches you shame - you teach him guilt.

Ask yourself are you OK without a Christmas tree in your house? Or is he OK with a Christmas tree? Now, two people do not need to be the same religion in order to get married and make it last, but you need to compromise. I've seen Catholics marry Jewish and had both religions present at the wedding and the reception, I saw it on TV a few times You just need to have a talk about the differences and how you will celebrate holidays and raise children

love conquers all ! if you really love each other it will work out. Yea it will be tough to pursued his family but as long as he is on your side, they will realize what you two have .

Nothing should ever get in Love's way, three years is a good time for some change and maturing and thinking, maybe you'll marry him but since he doesn't care about religion then you'll be fine ... if his family doesn't like that I'm sure you'll be able to work things through.
Good luck.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, ENDURES ALL THINGS."

Just a little quote from the Catholic Bible
It will work out because LOVE ENDURES ALL THINGS That is the way of love
Good luck, and I'm sure things will work out! ^_^
