Gotta stick up for Daniel and agree that most Jews in the USA are pretty leftist in nature, tho I would not say "radical", but as Steven Colbert says, "Reality has a well-known liberal bias."

the right wing, the Christian right, and the haters will long be opposed to the idea of a Jew being President, and there is still a fairly widespread belief among otherwise intelligent people that Jews are part of some vast international conspiracy to rule the world. I am grateful to be an American, and proud that we have elected a black President even if I don't always agree with his policies. but I really don't see a time in the near future when we will elect a Jewish President.

If the right moderate Jew runs for office, I would love to be pr oven wrong here.

Well, Rahm Emanuel just became the 1st Jewish mayor of Chicago. If he manages to handle the city in today's economic conditions, he might have a shot at the presidency, unless he figures that being mayor is better.
