both - Jehovah witnesses is a cult. they peddle salvation, whereas they themselves may or may not be saved.

Mormons, seems like a man made religion, that uses it to have all those wives, sort of like a man's world.

I would have to say the Jehovah's. We have both in my community and Mormons never come to your door and just keep to themselves. Their style of dress is pretty annoying though.

JWs without a doubt. I've never had a Mormon come knocking even though there's a good sized LDS congregation near my home.

Well, as they both often annoy me early on Sunday mornings I'd have to say they're equal, although Jehovas are easier to beat up...

Jehovah's witnesses are definitely more aggressive even when you politely say your not interested in learning but thanks.

I find Mormons a lot more friendly.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! Great image pops into the mind! What happens when a Jehovah's Witness knocks on a Mormon's door? It's got to create some kind of psycho-religious vortex!

Jehovah's witnesses......the same ones stop here all the time. They say only a certain number of people are getting into heaven, so why are they knocking down doors trying to lessen their own chances? Anyway, Best wishes

It 's a tie. They both have other beliefs contrary to the bible. They say that the bible has been transcribed wrong. They try to get others to believe their understanding.

- Zealous, Not Aggressive.

Pope John Paul?II criticized sects in general, and Jehovah?s Witnesses in particular, when he stated: ?The almost aggressive zeal with which some seek out new adherents, going from house to house, or stopping passersby on street corners, is a sectarian counterfeit of apostolic and missionary ardor.? It might be asked, If ours is a ?counterfeit of apostolic and missionary ardor,? where is the real evangelizing zeal to be found? Certainly not among Catholics nor, for that matter, among Protestants or members of the Orthodox churches.

8 Nevertheless, in order to give the lie to any accusation of aggressiveness in our witnessing, we should always be kind, respectful, and polite when we approach people. The disciple James wrote: ?Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show out of his fine conduct his works with a mildness that belongs to wisdom.? (James 3:13) The apostle Paul exhorts us ?not to be belligerent.? (Titus 3:2) For example, rather than out rightly condemn the beliefs of a person we are witnessing to, why not show a sincere interest in his or her opinions? Then tell the person the good news as contained in the Bible. By adopting a positive approach and showing due respect for people with other beliefs, we will help them get in a better frame of mind to listen, and perhaps they will discern the value of the Bible?s message. The result may be that some will come to ?glorify God.??1?Peter 2:12.

9 The apostle Paul counseled: ?Go on walking in wisdom toward those on the outside, buying out the opportune time for yourselves.? (Colossians 4:5) Explaining this latter expression, J.?B.?Lightfoot wrote: ?Letting no opportunity slip you, of saying and doing what may further the cause of God.? (Italics ours.) Yes, we must be ready with words and deeds at the opportune time. Such wisdom also involves choosing an appropriate time of day to make calls. If our message is refused, is it because people do not appreciate it, or is it because we called at a time that was likely inopportune? Paul also wrote: ?Let your utterance be always with graciousness, seasoned with salt, so as to know how you ought to give an answer to each one.? (Colossians 4:6) This takes forethought and true love for neighbor. Let us always present the Kingdom message with graciousness.

That's tough.... the Jehovahs are pretty determined to convert you and can be pushy face to face... a royal PITA to get rid of.

The Mormons are very clever and can find you no matter how often you move (my husband used to be Mormon so they have us on some secret list of potential victims) , but face to face, they are less pushy and are willing to leave if you ask nicely. Once, I told some of them "no thanks, I'm Pagan" and they actually asked tons of questions and seemed genuinely eager to learn about my beliefs. I was quite surprised.

Hmmmm... depends on what you mean by "annoying" and "aggressive".

If just coming to your door, makes them annoying, then I guess both. Having people come to my door does not bother me in any way. Just yesterday I had a minister and his wife (Baptist) come to my door to see if I had small children who would like to come to their Vacation Bible School. I listened politely to their spiel and then told them no. When Jehovah's Witnesses come to my door, I listen politely to their spiel, accept their publication and tell them, "thank you and have a nice day", then close the door and toss the literature.

I am Mormon now, But when I wasn't, I never noticed anyone being "aggressive"... Maybe them inviting you to church or telling you their beliefs is "aggressive" to you. It is not to me. I have had plenty of other religions knock on my door. I live in the Bible Belt and ministers of all religions knock on people's door inviting them to attend their local church. I just smile and say, "Thank you for the invite." and close the door.

If you are not interested, just look them in the eye and say..."I am not interested, Thank you." and CLOSE THE DOOR.

They are no more "annoying and aggressive" than the neighborhood kid who keeps coming around asking to do odd jobs for money. Correction: He is MORE annoying, but he is trying.

BOTH!
one will visit you to death! (so that's why I have a chalk outline of a body on my front porch with JW books strewed around) it works! they don't come calling anymore! :-)
and the other one is just plain comical to the point of annoying!(believing a mental guy who was just in the hot sun too long)

Jehovahs for sure.

I have had both knock on my door. I have always been polite and stated I am happy as a practicing Catholic and the Mormons have always accepted that and parted on good company. The Jehovahs have always used that to return like clockwork to highlight their disagreements with my way of life. I have never tried to convert them and it always takes massive effort to get them to leave me and my wife, who was born into Jainism, alone.

I am sure they would make great door to door salespeople in their day jobs.

Jehovah's Witnesses hope that their message is rejected by the largest number of people, because that will mean that they have REACHED the largest number and allowed these to decide for themselves where they stand with regard to God's Word.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelize, fully accomplish your ministry.
