Default Where may I get the list of Joseph Smith's failed prophecies?

Did he or Brigham Young really teach of Quakers being on the moon?

No they didn't.

try Orr.org or Carma.org they're the biggest anti-Mormon websites I know of...

If you want to know what the LDS believe about those prophecies you can visit a number of official sites and UN-official, but pro-lads sites that give you our interpretation and not a hateful skewed version you'll find on Orr.org and Carma.org

WNW.mormon.org
WNW.lds.org
WNW.fairlds.org
WNW.jefflindsay.com (I advise you view this one)

Never taught that. I believe it was a speculation that came up in a conversation at one point, but it was never a prophesy. I don't know where you could get a list. I would be happy to show you all the ones that have come to pass. Which are many.

I researched it on farms or fair, can't remember. the one that is held up is in regard to the civil war. but you can find senators talking about this fear at the same time. the rest of his prophecies are about half as good as that. I even read some that were reported as "I remember that Smith one time told me..."

Go to the Mormon apologists sites for this.

No that source is from a Mr. Huntington who said in 1882 almost 40 years after Joseph Smith died. There is no first or second hand source that proves it. Huntington said Philo Dibble told him the story. It was published in the Young Ladies Journal in 1892 unknowing it was spurious.

Second hand reports aren't prophecy. Not only that, but Joseph was a man, and as such, he could exercise his right to speculation. Just because he was a prophet doesn't mean God talked to him all the time. If this really was said by him, it was a common belief held at the time.

This stems from a news hoax that said that some guy had discovered that the moon was inhabited by men. Many people would believe it if it was in the paper. Besides, this account was written over 40 years after the alleged event. That should be some evidence as to the truthfulness (or should I say untruthfulness?) of this story.
