Default How many God's are their in Mormonism?

Quoting Joseph Smith, (Founder and First Prophet)

"In the beginning, the head of the Gods called a council of the Gods; and they came together and concocted a plan to create the world and people it....In all congregations when I have preached on the subject of the Deity, it has been the plurality of Gods."

How many gods are their, is it up their with Hinduism?

One. Hinduism, on the other hand, is regarded as a polytheistic religion, but if you know enough about it, it is, in a sense, monotheistic.

Mormons believe they, in fact, will be gods themselves when they die

Read John 10:34 and then the passage Jesus was referencing in Psalms 82.

It turns out, that as children of God, we are _all_ gods, but unless we do good, we aren't going to make it.

For us, there is only one God, the Father, and one Lord, Jesus Christ. Just because there are those that can be called gods and lords, whether they are in heaven or on earth, it really doesn't matter. We worship only _one_ God.

There are a phrase used in microbiology when counting of microbes colonies: "too numerous to count". Seems appropriate for the LDS wrong beliefs.

I believe the phrase I grew up hearing was, "gods without number". And Mormons believe that they will all become gods after they die. So, it's not really quantifiable.

"?I wish to declare I have always an in all congregations when I have preached on the subject of Deity, it has been the plurality of Gods.? --Prophet Joseph Smith, Jr., History of the Church, v. 6, p. 306

I hope Mormons don't claim that Joseph Smith is a God. and there were only 12 Disciples that Jesus sent to spread the word of God and wrote the new testament in the bible not Joseph Smith he was not a prophet for the word of God was already written. He may have been a founder of the Mormon church for his beliefs and his followers. But let God be the judge to that.

It's not known how many Gods their are but it is important to note that in the Mormon faith we only worship ONE God and He is our Heavenly Father.

If you look in Phillipians 3:14 Paul declares that "God" is in fact a calling, or a title if you will, not a name of an individual being. We believe that each of the three members of the Godhead are Gods in their respective roles and divine but that God the Father is our God whom we worship.

Paul has the best answer for this.

1 Corinthians 8:5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
