It only takes half a brain to realize it's true?
Frankly, the scriptures are full of references to wisdom in the spirit rather than the flesh, so people who believe the scriptures to begin with shouldn't have that big of an issue with it.
Actually, you don't need your brain to believe in Joseph Smith's claim. Just listen to the holy spirit and you will believe at him. If you will use half of your brain just to believe in Joseph Smith much more if you use the whole of your brain. However if you will overuse your brain, you might twists the bible verses and you tend to be live to Felix Manalo.
I did at one time, sad to, I was so depressed, they claimed to know everything, but they couldn't ex lain why their were demons in my room at night, who that angel was that astral projected me, why another angel sh owe dip one time why I almost died six times as a Mormon and other weird things that occur ed when I was a Mormon, truth restored, why I could;t understand WTF was going on with me.
Why would he give his life for the church if HE didn't think it was true? He didn't receive money or riches because of the church. Read the Book of Mormon and you'd understand.
No one with half a brain believes the claims of Joseph Smith. Those that believe in Joseph Smith all have whole brains.
God spoke through prophets for 4000 continuous years....he does so now.
God called prophets in more than one part of the world.....that makes sense too.
God hasn't left us alone to try to figure out his will by using only the words of dead prophets....that makes sense too.
There's no way that Joseph Smith could have written the Book of Mormon, so if it couldn't have come from him, and if it didn't come from ancient prophets, then where did it come from?
Actually it makes a lot of sense.........unless you're so entrenched in one specific belief system that you wouldn't recognize the truth if it were right in front of you. It's not hard to understand. The Jews couldn't recognize their own Messiah when he was performing miracles right in front of them. Pride hides the truth from us frequently.
