Sadly, there are many converts to Mormonism. Since around the 1970s or so they've been marketing themselves as Christians, but they are not.
To be a Christian, you must hold to the basic tenets of Christianity. Mormonism does not. For example, Mormons believe they must work their way to Heaven and that one day the men will be gods and have their own planets and spend their time making spirit babies with all their wives in Heaven (if they reach the highest of 3 levels). This is so far from Christianity as to be blasphemous - man becoming gods!
There are many, that is the whole purpose of the Mormon missionaries to convert people to the Mormon church. That is how my family was converted. I myself am an ex-Mormon and do not believe in the Mormon church.
I'm not a convert.BUT, I have many LDS friends.Word to the wise! You'll get blasted on here for a blank question like that! Be more specific next time. They have 14 million member, give or take, currently in the world. So, yes there are LOTS of converts.Bless You!
My stake president is a convert from catholic to the LDS church.
He is the most spiritual guy I've met with the most amazing stories. Absolutely amazing, anyone who talks to him would be converted in a heartbeat.
Every Mormon is a convert. I was born in the church, but I consider myself a convert.
As for converts who converted from another faith or no faith at all, we thousands each year.
