Protestants believe in Jesus Christ, so do Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, JW?s and Catholics. Although I do not agree with some of these Christian denominations' dogma; their belief in Jesus is really all that matters. It hurts the cause of Jesus to have different CHRISTIAN denominations bashing one another. Let's embrace what we have in common...not our dogmatic differences.
10: you can wear whatever underwear you want to
9: If you're a woman, you won't have to belong to the 19Th-century "relief society."
8. No secret handshakes to learn
7. You can still enjoy a good beer or glass of wine, and the health benefits that go with them
6. You don't have to pretend Native Americans are Jewish
5. You can avoid reading, "And it came to pass" 20,000 times (Book of Mormon)
4. No heavy 3-in-1 to lug around
3. Just one wife, now and always (isn't that enough?)
2. You can accept archeology, Egyptology, American History, and the Bering Strait land bridge without reservations
And the #1 reason for not becoming a Mormon:
1. Keep 100% of your income, instead of giving 10% to the church to spend in California defeating Prop. 8!
Mormons aren't the only people to give 10% of their income to the church. In fact, a LOT of churches do this... Don't know why people think we're the only ones.
But the only reason I can think of that is negative is not being accepted by some family members or friends. Or they talk down on you.
But that's just why I don't tell every one.
