all things are possible - but that I kind of doubt.
why?
"Marriage between a man and a woman is central to the plan of salvation. The sacred nature of marriage is closely linked to the power of procreation. Only a man and a woman together have the natural biological capacity to conceive children. This power of procreation ? to create life and bring God?s spirit children into the world ? is sacred and precious. Misuse of this power undermines the institution of the family and thereby weakens the social fabric. Strong families serve as the fundamental institution for transmitting to future generations the moral strengths, traditions, and values that sustain civilization. As the Universal Declaration of Human Rights affirms, ?The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society.?"

edit: @laceworkeRebeeThe Church opposed the ERA, but not equal rights.
There are principals that never change. Changes have occurred in ordinances and who does what in the church and small matters, but as families are a fundamental building block of our religion it will never change.
That change would undermine doctrinal items in our church about the structure of a family and our relationship to God; so not to be rude or judgmental against Antone's point of view but that's a change that could never happen in our religion.
That would take decades to unfold with such a conservative group.
But you should read the fine and fascinating book, "Out of the Bishop's Closet" by Tony Feliz. This gay Mormon (I suppose ex-Mormon now) gives really interesting examples of how Mormonism and homosexuality *could* work together.
He claims that Joseph Smith sealed two men at one point -- fascinating idea.
Unfortunately mainstream Mormonism is just not open to that right now. Perhaps if God continues "seeding" gay boys into the LDS Church, one day their prophet will wake up and change the teaching. We need more David Archuletas, Bahama.
(I don't know if David is gay, but he sure is a sweet young man.)
