Default If the Bible proves christianity, then does the Quran prove Islam the Book of Mormon

how can you use your religious tool to prove your religion. Of course your book proves your point. Doesn't everybody?

And this is why people die over religion. No one is right but everyone thinks they are.

Anybody who says the Bible 'proves' Christianity is an idiot. The Bible is completely man-made, it is not divine, - it's a book that was written by people who lived years after Jesus had died.

Why must anyone ...prove religion?? Isn't it enough to just love god and know that one must go through jesus christ in order to get to him?

The Bible "proves" Christianity? You're joking right? Thats like saying "The Stand" proves everybody died of the flu.

Its a book. Like the Quran, or the Book of Mormon are just books. They dint prove anything.

Well yes and no. Many faiths have their book that is evidence of their faith. The Book of Mormon is evidence of Mormonism.

The Book of Mormon also proves the Bible, and Vi's-a-versa. And it also proves Christianity.

Lol at the guy who felt that saying this is the same thing as saying a biology book proves evolution. Who said a book in and of itself proved evolution?

.... proves Christianity what? That it exists? The Bible does not prove Christianity. Christianity exists because of the Bible. I'm not sure I understand your question.

"IF" those books did in fact PROVE any of those things then I would say a resounding YES, but in fact those books alone prove nothing. THe spirit alone testifies of God's truth.... to each person who seeks it.

Well, I'm not sure about the rest of the books, but I'm talking on behalf of the Qumran!

Islam promotes the act of pondering. To ponder upon the creation. The Qumran talks about pondering and thinking about the origins of the universe, creation, and many other things well over 500 times. Each time, giving an interesting fact, to prove that God is the creator (once we reach to that point of knowledge).

Ill give you an example.

Do they not seriously understand that in the initial stages of creation, The heavens and the earth were one mass which We then ripped apart (Big Bang), so that the various celestial bodies started floating in their own orbits (21:33; 36:40). (Take for example the planet earth. In its initial stages it separated from the original mass, just like a stone thrown out from a catapult ~ 79:30.) Later (when the earth became ready to bear or produce living things) We started life from water. (All living things are created from a mixture of water ~ 24:45. And over this fountain of life Allah Almighty has kept His own control ~ 11:7.)It is strange that even after all this explanation, they do not believe that only Allah Almighty wields absolute sovereignty over everything in the universe 21:30

This is a great tool to confirm my religion!!

Funny thing is ... The Quran & the Book of Mormon took excerpts from "THE BIBLE".. Hmmm. Let's see. Copy the original, change it up here and there, then push the issue as Authentic.. Uh HUH, Yeah Right.. Mohammed and John Smith, Hmm. I do not for see anyone gaining entrance to Heaven because of them..I do Know you will gain entrance by Christ..

Tim. 2:5 - 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
John 14:6 - 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comet unto the Father, but by me

We use the Bible too. The Book of Mormon is ANOTHER testament of Jesus Christ. "Mormon" is slang...in a sense. We are Latter Day Saints. Also Christians sense we believe He is the Messiah also!

It doesn't in Mormonism.

No major doctrines come from the BoM. They have additional scripture as well as varying and constant "revelation" from the current prophet which trumps all prophets before him.

Betty, what if the men and women who wrote in those books were all inspired of God? Their is a passage in the Book of Mormon that is very intriguing it states:

6 Thou fool, that shall say: A Bible, we have got a Bible, and we need no more Bible. Have ye obtained a Bible save it were by the Jews?
7 Know ye not that there are more nations than one? Know ye not that I, the Lord your God, have created all men, and that I remember those who are upon the isles of the sea; and that I rule in the heavens above and in the earth beneath; and I bring forth my word unto the children of men, yea, even upon all the nations of the earth?
8 Wherefore murmur ye, because that ye shall receive more of my word? Know ye not that the testimony of two nations is a witness unto you that I am God, that I remember one nation like unto another? Wherefore, I speak the same words unto one nation like unto another. And when the two nations shall run together the testimony of the two nations shall run together also.
9 And I do this that I may prove unto many that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and that I speak forth my words according to mine own pleasure. And because that I have spoken one word ye need not suppose that I cannot speak another; for my work is not yet finished; neither shall it be until the end of man, neither from that time henceforth and forever.
10 Wherefore, because that ye have a Bible ye need not suppose that it contains all my words; neither need ye suppose that I have not caused more to be written.
11 For I command all men, both in the east and in the west, and in the north, and in the south, and in the islands of the sea, that they shall write the words which I speak unto them; for out of the books which shall be written I will judge the world, every man according to their works, according to that which is written.
12 For behold, I shall speak unto the Jews and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto the Nephites and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto the other tribes of the house of Israel, which I have led away, and they shall write it; and I shall also speak unto all nations of the earth and they shall write it.
13 And it shall come to pass that the Jews shall have the words of the Nephites, and the Nephites shall have the words of the Jews; and the Nephites and the Jews shall have the words of the lost tribes of Israel; and the lost tribes of Israel shall have the words of the Nephites and the Jews.

actually Christians like Calvin and martin Luther use the bible to interpret the bible to their theological ends, but the Mormons use the bible and their scriptures to interpret their theology the way they want to interpret the BIBLE the way they want to, and the Quran is used so they can interpret the God of the Jews the way they want to interpret the God of Israel their way, in Christianity the God of Israel is a loving God, but in the Quran, he says to kill the infidel, very differant!!
