Yes.

Joseph Smith received the Priesthood of Jesus Christ. This is also called the Melchizedek Priesthood.

The Priesthood of Jesus Christ was given to his Apostles when Jesus taught among the Jews. The Apostles then gave this Priesthood to the worthy disciples of Jesus Christ.

Joseph Smith received the Priesthood from Heavenly beings, because all the original Apostles were killed by the Romans, and the original Priesthood Of Jesus Christ was no longer on the Earth.

Any Mormon that has ever been ordained to be an Elder, has received Priesthood from Jesus Christ, ultimately.

Not a Mormon, but as a comment, it's interesting that Joseph Smith was chosen by an Angel of Light, which is what the bible sometimes uses as a euphemism for Satan, so they had to write their own bible. Just to help with your learning.

Yes, of course, but I have a feeling that we have different ideas of what a "high priest" is.

They do believe it. Make no mistake and do not let them explain it away. And if you believe that claptrap about how the true gospel was taken away or was "distorted", then that would make God an outright liar when He said the gates of hell will never again prevail against His church, because He has established it, and what God establishes stands for all time and not only when it fits into some pet doctrinal position. He reminded Elijah of the 7,000 faithful, because as a man he forgot that there always have been those faithful to God. So why believe in the first place, if God is a liar?

Therefore, there is no remnant church, no remnant believers, no remnant return gospel, no new revelation from two spirits disguised in light to a kid looking for a good way to feed his budding megalomania cal ego. They sure found the one they were looking for for that great lie, all right. Which is why their "prophets" constantly contradict each other, the BOM, AND Joseph Smith's announced doctrines.

See Mormons and Adam-as-god. Don't take my word for it.

No, if you look in the book of Hebrews, you will find that Jesus is both the Aaronic and Melchizedek high priest. The book says his term is FOREVER. That means that what the church "restored" is not true.

This is not the same as the Biblical Jewish high priest. In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, high priest is an ordination generally (but not necessarily) given to those called to certain leadership positions. There are many thousands of high priests in the Church today; they remain high priests even after they are released from serving in the callings for which they were ordained to that office in the priesthood. The average faithfully active male member of the Church will probably be ordained a high priest at some point in his life, as most will likely serve for a time in one of the leadership positions requiring this ordination. Others may simply be ordained high priests at some point after they begin meeting with the high priest group during priesthood meetings; members of this group are older, on average, than the members of the elders quorum.
