Does Mormonism prove that people can be made to believe just about anything if it?s p
I mean, Mormonism is about the craziest nonsense imaginable! Every time I think I know all the crazy stuff that Mormons believe and practice, I learn something else that is even crazier. And yet millions of people believe wholeheartedly in this absolute nonsense. Does this prove that some people are just complete lost causes and even if they can be brought to the light of truth, they won?t remain there for long and will likely fall for some other religious scam or trickery?
Desiree, probably over 1/2 of the things you learn (and repeat on here) are false. I love you to death but you need to learn not to believe everything you read.
True Christianity just straight from the Bible is the truth. Because it even says in revelations not to add on or take away from the Book. So non denominational Christianity is the way to find true spiritual enlightenment and to actually get the blessings of God.
Because for them it makes sense. As if Christianity isn't as far fetched when it comes down to it. But that's beside the point. We know nothing about the universe. So every religion basically comes down to faith. That is what some people have. Faith in God. Faith in John Smith (if I spelled that correctly), Faith in Jesus.
I however, do not have faith in Jesus Christ, but I respect those that do. And while I think that Mormonism is retarded, the rules that it teaches are not. I have some great Mormon friends. A brother and sister, and they are very nice, I like to think because of their religion teaching them to not "sin". Whether they like their religion or not is beside the point.
Not necessarily.
I think David Koresh, Heaven's Gate, Scientology, and Tony Alamo proved that point much more succinctly.
As P.T. Barnum once said, "There's a sucker born every minute."
I Am A Mormon. You Should Ask Missionaries To Come To Your House And Tell You What We Believe From An ACTUAL Mormon. You Can Get All Of This Information Out There Off The Internet, But That Doesn't Mean It's True. A Mormon Can Only Have ONE Spouse, Contrary To Popular Belief. That Gets A Lot Of People. I Say You Should Go To WNW.mormon.org And See What We Believe From A Reliable Source. If You Have Any Questions About Mormons, E-Mail Me. =]
And What is So Weird About Mormonism Anyway? I'd Really Like To Know...Seriously...
As a former Mormon, I am inclined to agree that it is a mostly silly religion, but, honestly, no more ridiculous than any other Christian denomination. Just because it is newer, and therefore less sunken into our culture doesn't make it any sillier. In fact, I would give Joseph Smith some credit for attempting to patch over the gaping holes in the Bible. He utterly failed to do so, but at least he acknowledged them, and had a go.
People can be made to believe just about anything...period! Look at the televised news media. Scripted to meet the need to control though fear.
Flu epidemic scares to control the masses... and what you mention above
Alma 12:4 And thou see st that we know that thy plan was a very subtle plan, as to the subtlety of the devil, for to lie and to deceive this people that thou might est set them against us, to revile us and to cast us out?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Doctrine and Covenants 123:12 For there are many yet on the earth among all sects, parties, and denominations, who are blinded by the subtle craftiness of men, whereby they lie in wait to deceive, and who are only kept from the truth because they know not where to find it?
For any who are seeking the truth and have an ear to hear....The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) is God's true church on the Earth.
Beware and do not let anyone deceive you into thinking otherwise!
You have a lot to learn about this world. Your supposed question is nothing more than a hate filled rant. Time to go back to the drawing board...
Even if you believed these things you say, why would you ask this question?
