i don't know. Joseph Smith never heard of Islam, and never mentioned anything about them. In fact, nearly no one had heard of Islam in the United States. The only ones that did thought that it was a barbaric cult.

Hm. Tough question, but a little far-fetched to think that a back woods "con man" could actually know about a religion that was virtually non-existent where he lived...

Smith was the product of America's Freedom of Worship but he had to stick to the Christianity that America fought off from the British.

Had Smith understood the Message that Muhammad brought in the Quran, and that is from Allah, The Only True God of John 17:3, he would not have had his blind sheep adopt a Clint Eastwood Jesus.

There is no Jesus in Islam or Quran and the one you see in the false translation of the Quran is forced there by Muslims who understand as little as you and Smith.

Read The Age of Reason by M A Raheem and Mervyn C Charles to clear up your shady mind and see why Smith would have become Muslim had he had this information at his disposal.

Your website must be run by comedians.

Amen!

I wouldn't be surprised. However, I don't think Islam was actually common back then in the Midwest.
Many say Muhammad stole from Christianity, Judaism, several Pagan sects around that time, and Zoroastrianism.

And Christianity stole from Judaism, several Pagan sects at the time, and Zoroastrianism.

And Judaism stole from several pagan sects at the time, and Zoroastrianism.

And Zoroastrianism was original, as were the several pagan sects, though they probably intermingled.

Dont know about that ... But Soly_El you need to be better tuned to what going on around you ... every year 5,000 American (White Americans) convert to Islam from Christianity. I dint think so many people would convert to it if they thought it was barbaric cult.

Yes. Joseph Smith borrowed from many religions and ideologies. Sadly, too many have bought into his false religion.

Matthew 24:24 - "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect."

Forgive others as I have forgiven you.

Mohammad didn't invent the idea of a living prophet, revelations from God, or angelic visitation. These are core Jewish/Christian beliefs that have fallen into disuse by an unbelieving or faithless majority. It is instructive to realize that Joseph's enemies would rather consider him to be perhaps the most intelligent man that ever lived rather than believe he was a prophet of God. Where else would someone find a barely literate farm boy who was an expert in the Kabalah, ancient Jewish literary forms, Arabian geography, the Jewish Temple, Mesoamerican culture and technologies, city building, temple building, faith healing, politics, and prophesy?
Talk about missing the obvious...

Didn't you already ask this question?

Mormons don't believe any of the nonsense in that article (especially the parts about the aliens). And the only real similarities with Muslims are the facts that we have a founder (as does any faith) and that there are a lot of us. Oh, and we believe in God and angels...which puts Muslims and ALL Christians on the same level up to that point.

We're not the same at all, and those articles were just silly.

Many say that Christmas is a pagan holiday.

Many say that Christ was a fable.

Many say that the world was created by chance.

Many say that God created the world.

Truth is not established by what "many people say". Nearly every faith on the planet earth shares some common vein with other belief systems. Those are things that we should embrace.

Why don't you find out what Mormons believe from Mormons and not from people who despise them and have no problem making s*** up about them???
