why do people hate the Mormons?

Particularly, recently, because of their strong stance against gay marriage. In general, for their strange non-mainstream ideas about Christianity.

Maybe it's because you insist on constantly asking this stupid question.

I don't hate Mormons - some of my favorite people have been Mormon, including some very good friends. Most that I know have had very good morals and family values and contribute very positively to society. The religion, however, is very misleading and doctrinally false. It is the very thing that I love about Mormonism (its friendly, harmless-looking exterior and wonderful members) that make the religion itself so deceptive and easy to become involved in. Just because something seems harmless and good on the outside does not mean that it is correct or harmless in its teachings.

Again, because they continually keep asking why instead of considering all the reasons why. And its not hate. That's YOUR word choice. Not ours. Keep it in mind. Thanks for the 2 points.

Mormon people are no different than anyone else. They hate ex Mormons, cytologists,ST's FLDS and liberals and this forum.

The true Church of Jesus Christ has never been one of the popular ones. If Mormon church would conform to what the world wanted, then it would be of the world and it would be loved. Since it will not, the world hates it. Not for any evil works or actions, because it's works are good, but for views and doctrine.

Our lord was called a corrupt or of religion and was crucified for the supposed sin of blasphemy. There have always been those who hate other faiths. This restored gospel of Christ is looking for the meek and the humble. )
