Default As Prophets are Mohammed and Joseph Smith considered to be equals?

Assam - I like the Ed sound much better. Bed time?...nah, unlike you, I don't have a schedule OR a Religious agenda.

If they were both prophets, then yes. They would be equal to Noah, Isaiah, etc...

But... they weren't now, were they

[edit]
Gosh - why all the thumbs down?? How many Mormon Muslims could there be in the world? (apparently 4 at this point).

The question was in comparison to them both - my answer is true... even the last part - They're BOTH not prophets simultaneously since they are at odds with each other.

I think Joseph Smith had a little more decency as to not marry a 6 year old girl and have sex with her when she turned 9.

I don't consider Mohammed a prophet. I do believe Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. I'm sure Muslims feel the opposite. So no, they would not be equals. You either believe one is a prophet and the other is not or you don't believe either to be a prophet.

The answer is yes, they both took the Bible and added nonsense to it. There own words. The bible gives strong warnings about this happening, and about doing it.

Interesting that one of Joseph Smith's first prophecies was that his name would be spoken of for both good and evil throughout the world. It's fun to see that prophecy come true in real-time on the Internet.

I've heard Jesus called a prophet before...

And what makes you think, MIM, that your god didn't tell mu hammed what to do? Can you prove that?

Yes, they are equal, just like you and I are equal to them. The Bible says that we are all equal. They lived, they died. We live, and one day will die. There is only One who escaped death. The Lord Jesus Christ. Everyone else are just humans, no closer to God than any one else, sinners and unworthy, but Loved anyway.
