Default After 1835, seven known versions of the First Vision were recorded by those who knew

Which one is to be believed?

How did the church settle on the one that was sculpted after many more years, using snippets from others, but not including details that conflicted with (then) current church teachings?

Which of the accounts of the life of Christ do you choose to believe?

If you are too lazy or proud to ask God whether or not it is true, then you will continue in your confusion.

Good question, particularly given the chaos of Smith's life in the years after first publishing. Here's an article about his life and death; it contains links to quite a number of excellent resources that may be helpful to you.

wow, that's interesting. I didn't realize there were seven. That would make interesting research. Personally, I think with some diligent prayer, and pondering.

Obviously the person asking the question has already done their research. I think they are trying to get Mormons to take a good look at what it is they are supposed to believe and examine it for themselves instead of just pressing the "I believe" button. Unfortunately, the Mormons who have already heard this are either in denial or they are to ashamed to admit they were fooled.

I don't think insulting someone is going to change their mind or make them want to join your cult. Oh I'm sorry for using the "c" word, I meant to say evil empire.

To answer the original question. They're all false. I wouldn't believe anything that came out of Joseph Smith's mouth. Unless of course he ever told someone he was a crook.
